Lovely film of an iconic landmark. Eventually , as everything does, it will come down, but hopefully, with careful monitering, it will last many more years. Celia Fiennes and Daniel Defoe, 17th Century travel writers didn't comment on it, so it seems a relatively recent phenomenon, but what a tribute to God.
Thank you for your interesting comment.
Hi Tony, I'm creating a video of a bike ride around Nidderdale and I would really appreciate it if I could use a few seconds of your drone footage in my video. I would, of course, give full attribution in the credits. Is that OK?
@@uphillanddowndale Sure no problem.
I can smell the food and feel the heat.
Has the abbey closed down recently? It is a shame.
Sorry, I don't live nearby, so cannot answer your question.
I grew up almost next to this mill In its working days it wax awesome.I also went to Lilycroft school from 5 until 11 My in laws lived at tradesmans home when they retired
I'm glad that my video brought back many memories for you. Thanks for your comment. Cheers, Tony

this is incredible. i was looking for some content like this where we could see the church from above and understand how the structure looked like a whole. great footage man. you did some historical work there for anyone doing research on this site that once were both a wonderful church as well as a home. wish we had a 3D reconstruction of what the place looked like before demolition but this is just incredible. hope i can visit it someday if they ever open for the public again. nevertheless this is amazing. Thank you sir for sharing with us! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you for your kind comments. I'm glad that my video was an inspiration for you. Cheers, Tony
Love the footage Tony! If it's okay with you, we’d like to use a short clip of it for the Fedden Village website?
Sure. Help yourself. Eventually, pass me the link to your website please. Cheers, Tony
If you want higher quality footage than you can copy from CZcams, give me your website link and I'll contact you to make arrangements. Cheers, Tony
Did you need permission to fly here ?
Sorry, I can't remember. I'm sure that I would have launched from a public place.
@@CaptTony I was only asking as I’d love to fly my drone here in the next few weeks 👍👍
Enjoy
Going there tomorrow..
Excellent video thanks. I worked in the area over many years and have happy memories of those times.
Glad you enjoyed my video and it brought back happy memories for you. Cheers, Tony
Are there paintings inside of the Whitmore family? Thomas Whitmore lived there in 1607. Thank you.
Sorry, not sure, because I never went inside the house.
Sad to see them go. HMS MONMOUTH was my first ship and HMS MONTROSE was my last ship, strange to see them here together.
Glad to have brought back memories of your time aboard the T23s in the Royal Navy. Thanks for the comment. Cheers, Tony
I wonder about the tsk in doing the vast landscaping and pruning 😢
Obviously a major undertaking!
Great videography & background music 😊 Thank you for sharing
Thanks for the kind comment. I'm glad that you enjoyed my video. Cheers Tony
Looks like Eton hall is a wee village
Yes, it's large isn't it?
Absolutely beautiful. Our places of worship don't have to represent great riches, but as this chapel , they should evoke an awesome wonder that is representative of God's glory. Thank you for sharing this with all of the world.
Thank you for your comments.
Can you take on one of these to live on?
You'll have to ask the marina.
Great video of an interesting ruin, nice scenery too..👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it. As always, many thanks for your kind comment. Cheers, Tony
Nice flying Tony 👌 never been there it looks interesting
Thanks 👍
Wow, I can just imagine how many changes you saw in Plymouth in 16 years as it was rebuilding its self. I looked everywhere for the definition of a Hoe, because here it's either a garden tool or a derogatory term for a woman.
Another job, I rendered the back of one of the hotels at 4.08 😮😁 I used to go conger fishing from the Stone pier too 🙂
I'm definitely following in your footsteps 😂
My family is from Ashbourne and my great-great grandmother (it might be great-grandmother) is buried in the churchyard
Thank you. It's always good to hear from someone with personal connections to somewhere I fly my drone, and that brings back fond memories for them. Cheers, Tony
Amazing place..great video and nice flying..👍👍👍
Thanks. It is indeed an amazing place. How could one person own that much? It's insane! Thanks for the comment - it was my second time over Eaton Hall, and this time from a much better position, which allowed me to fly over the full estate. Cheers, Tony
That's where my ancestors would have come from. Then ended up here in Nova Scotia and at some point many moved on to other British/US territories. I was born in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia.
Interesting. Thanks for the comment. Cheers, Tony
This looks wonderful. Thanks Tony ❤
Thank you. Your support is most appreciated. Cheers, Tony
As a lad who grew up in Newport I am very familier with this amazing engineering structure. However the motors that wind the cables that move the carriage are pretty low power, in the 21st Century, isn't it time to run this using solar power (PV panels and a battery)? There are lots of places PV panels could be fitted and that would update it for the next 100 years (well 25 years on the current PV panels!).
I agree. The motors are only 35hp, so I assume could be powered by suitably large solar panels. Good idea.
Visited this place any times a a kid living in Kings Lynn, My mother would walk in and pay while my Dad and me my brother and sister would climb the Moat banks. Did not realise you needed to pay and go through the official entry until I was on a school trip aged 11 and took my pals down the "Back Way" as we knew it. We loved it but got a proper talking to from the teacher when we climbed over the embankment. Thanks again for wakening memories.
I'm glad that my video brought back childhood memories for you. Thanks for your comments. Cheers, Tony
That is a fantastic structure, I had the pleasure of working on the bridge firework display for the Millenium. The blokes on the bridge were a great bunch, Spent a week with them loading a lots of explosives onto gantry sides and a lot on top of the Towers Was pretty wet most of the week and working on top of the Towers about 10.00 on new years Eve was a blast, the display went off fine. Because we were on the bridge when that night we could see all of the displays across a lot of South Wales, in the Stadium and across the channel. The Bridge cafe fry up was brilliant, had a few of those. New years eve they let me take the Gondola over to the Cafe side. the Machine has stood up to time. Good to see it being looked after. Thanks for the upload and reminding me about it.
Thanks for your interesting comments, and relating your experiences of this iconic and unique bridge. Cheers, Tony
Lovely video. Is it posible for me to use parts of it in a video report I'm doing of a course I attended at Wortley Hall last week? This course was a combined course with members from UK and Norwegian Trade Unions. I will post links to your channel and this video in my description..
Thanks for the comment. Yes of course, I'm happy for you to use whatever parts of my video that you decide. It's a great location. Cheers, Tony
@@CaptTony Thanks a lot... :)
You're following my jobs around this week Tony 😁 Our company did a bit of investigation work on the sea mark for Trinity House. Just checking the cramps in the masonry. Used to go bass fishing in the races, hell of a current 😮
Even on a windless day the Races were rough! Don't think that I would want to go fishing there. Thanks for your comment. Cheers, Tony
That is an amazing structure. I never knew such a thing existed. Brave tourists 😊
Thanks Suzanne. I've never been aboard a Transporter Bridge, but will try sometime in the future. Tony
Lived in Bristol for 40 years and never knew it existed as a transporter bridge. Have seen it from a distance a few times and wrongly assumed it was some form of coal mining equipment. What a scary contraption to ride on that must truly be!…the grey swirling murky water and muddy banks are scary enough!….quite remarkable thanks for the video Tony.
They're pretty rare. Unfortunately I was hoping to see it working, but unfortunately it was being refurbished, and is not going to be brought back into commission until later this year.
Hi again Jon, I've not flown in the Mudeford area, but it's on my list to do sometime in the future. But it won't be for a while, because I won't be in the UK for 5 months from next week (7th May). It'll probably be October before I'm that way again. Cheers, Tony
What a lovely day!. Usually raining, blowing and cold on my trips to Portland Bill. Great Video Tony.
Thanks Jon. It was actually quite windy for my flight with lots of warnings coming up on my controller, but the incredible M3P handled it well. Thanks for the comment. Cheers, Tony
@@CaptTony Thanks for the reply Tony. The M3P is a great drone, it looked to be operating effortlessly considering it was windy!. Have you ever flown over and filmed around Mudeford Quay, Mudeford Beach, Hengistbury head, would love to see some Aerial shots of a place I hold dear. All the best Jon.
The choice of the music also goes very well with this video!
Thank you 🎶
Another nice video Tony, internal shots are good with your new equipment.
Thanks 👍
too much reading. it is a video not book.
Great architecture
Prachtige opname, dankjewel. 👍
Thank you. I'm glad that you enjoyed my video. Cheers, Tony
Wonderful views. Thanks Tony ❤
Glad you enjoyed it. 👏
Thanks Tony. Looks wonderful♥
Tony, I am in Perouges thinking of you. Great video as always.
Thanks Irene. Make sure you you choose the right place to eat in that lovely place. Cheers, Tony
I love the music in your videos. They seem to always match both the history and the present architecture, sometimes even the weather. Thanks for posting these great shots 😊
Thank you Suzanne. Choosing the music is always a challenge, because it has to be Royalty Free and, although there's a huge amount of it online, selecting the right track often takes some time. Anyway, thanks for the comment. Cheers, Tony
Lovely video and wonderful news about the wedding ❤
Thank you 😁
Excellent Tony 🙂 I've worked on The Conduit just around the corner from the Abbey, cleaned the War Memorial out the front and helped install the sundial in the Boy's School behind it 😁
Thanks for the comment. The whole area around the Abbey looked well kept, very clean, well preserved and spectacular. It was a great experience being there and you have my thanks for the contribution you made towards making the area so special. I'm glad that you enjoyed my video. Cheers, Tony
@@CaptTony Thank you Tony 😊 It was lovely to see my old stomping ground 🙂
A great video Tony, its lovely to see some of these places that I may never get around to seeing, keep them coming.
Glad you enjoyed it. I've got miles of footage awaiting editing, so have no problem keeping them coming 😂. Cheers, Tony
Very nice video Tony with good internal video.
Glad you enjoyed it. Cheers, Tony
