Reall love the music for this game, thank you!
The feelings that the video game transmits are thanks to you. The work you have done is amazing my friend. I am very grateful for your music and for having discovered Cobalt Core. My utmost respect from Spain.
I feel like I just spent an unhealthily long time in outerspace. Transported me somewhere else. Good music.
When I was a little kid I had a CD player, and one of the CDs had a variety of songs, the first one that always played was a calming piano piece. Whenever I heard it, I imagined gray cloud-like shapes and patterns with a light behind the clouds, all flowing and moving with the music. To this day I don't know exactly why I thought about that pattern, and I don't even remember the song that played. "An Opened Door," and it's visuals, reminds me of when I would think about those clouds--not in the sky, but in it's own existence, separate from everything, like a dream--and from it, the calmness and serene peace. The piano used in "An Opened Door" is not the same as the other piano song from what I remember, but it's still a pretty song nonetheless, and I can feel and remember the same feelings of calmness that I haven't felt in a long time from this song. It makes me feel like a four-year-old again, innocently enjoying the beauty of life. Thanks, Aaron, for bringing back these ancient feelings :)
People have already talked about Mean Machine and Self-Defense as standouts, but clearing an opponent and hearing Mean Machine (Intro) with the terminating bit of the echoing motif feels like mist/clouds parting to reveal some vast, precious sanctuary. Magical. I got a new waterproof headset, and thought this would be perfect for swim sessions. And goodness, was it! The cool, timeless melodies, the quiet tension in combat tracks, and the melancholy in the repeated motifs that stir up a tranquil longing... they all made my lap swims an ethereal experience. I absolutely love the game, from the charming characters, to the unique cross-character synergies, to the magical soundtrack. Only real complaint is... where's T-13505 Days on the OST? It's too cute to leave out!
I like the part where the orb seems at first to be a snowflake, then a bubble, then the sun. When the real sun appears, the pink orb is left floating, and you are left to wonder what it really is.
Классная музыка, спасибо автору, задевает какие то струны во мне, иногда появляется чувство ностальгии, очень нравится. Друг, у тебя талант, желаю успехов в творчестве, радуй людей, меня точно порадовал 😅
Same guy who made the new minecraft soundtrack 😂
Easily one of the best OST's I could ever ask for. Thank you for your work, and I hope you make more music soon.
bread liker extended to like bread for 20 minutes
who doesn’t like BREAD
for some reason this soundtrack makes me cry. I can't explain why, it just gives me a strong feeling of "Oh no, the youth and innocence but doomed to suffer eternally with hopes and dreams getting trampled all the time"
This is second time i bought game for just soundtrack is too beautiful, after Wildfrost
You're in the top league man sitting right next to Danny B, Darren Korb, Lifeforme, Toby Fox and Christodoulou. Congratulations for this amazing ost.
Self-Defense and T+39 are such huge moods. Thank you for this incredible soundtrack.
Your music inspires me to create, thank you love
It's so sad that it only has 115 views and 2 comments
these are some of the best video game music.. Self Defense makes me feel nostalgic to a future world I've never even been to..
Very abstract
It's more Aaron Cherof than last time. Nice!
Cool
This song is so chill and amazing ❤
Self Defense seriously kicks so much fucking ass dude
Self-Defense makes me feel sad in a good way
Love this soundtrack, my current go to while I write. Loved the game and have enjoyed going back to Sunshine Heavy Industries. It's nice to see how the team, including Aaron Cherof already were nailing their ideas and how they've grown and gotten better with time as Cobalt Core takes all that good and turns it to great.
Nifty that this Treat of a Soundtrack comes with a fun game on the side. Love it. The seamless flow from "Timestream" into "Beneath a Birchen Moon" convinces me they are the two halves of the same beautiful song.
Dude the chill version of Epoch is soo good, I use to keep demo on for it
Gravity Well is the one for me. Got the game about a month ago and have been playing it a lot. Sometimes though Gravity Well will come on when I enter a fight and I'll sit there and zone out while listening to it. It makes me nostalgic and sad for something that I can't articulate, and only makes sense when I'm barely accessing my subconscious.
i just got recommended the ost on spotify. ts truly beautiful, thank you.
hell yeag
Recently beaten the game, had a wonderful time. ^^
I NEED THE LIL COBALT CREW DUDES
what ...
To anyone coming here after listening to "Precipice" -- the companion banger you're looking for is Self Defense!
We making it out of cobalt core with this one
This soundtrack blew me away track after track as I played the game. Only very few games get me to break out into a dance WHILE playing it!
IMO, this OST is comparable to Necrodancer and Undertale. Really catchy earworms! Edit: After more listens, I definitely like this soundtrack better. Really phenomenal work!
been playing this game lately and wow does the soundtrack go hard
I'm a Mean Machine man, myself. Something about the base after the transition at 16:43
Great work, keep on going~!
I'm glad I can comment on the music here, seriously I've been in love it with it since the game came out. Always gonna be watching for projects you work on from here on!
45:20 is absolute peak, and makes me get a little teary eyed every time I hear it in the game!
It just keeps building!
EVIL RIGGS
I will always come back to this game, just because I can listen to Self-Defense
You went crazy on this soundtrack. I streamed some of Cobalt Core to my friends, and many of them applauded the music. My favorites are Mean Machine and Polytrope.
Loved this sound track. Riggs' theme is my favourite. I love how it was used in her flashbacks and in the ending.
Just gotta say, I love that one of the characters (not naming for potential spoilers) has a little leitmotif heard a few times throughout the soundtrack. Getting the full story to the character only made its impact even stronger. Love this game.
You knocked this one out of the park
I've been searching for a vinyl release just in case it ever comes out! Please! I've been also been listening to this anytime I play space Boardgames and my friends love it!
im listening to this to get the balatro soundtrack out of my head. the only way to kill an earworm is with another earworm
i'm buying this game for the soundtrack alone
