CHEERS - My daughter's 2009 Corolla is presently having some major "power loss" issues and I have been told that it's better to "swap it out with a used one". Unfortunately her mechanic seems unable to explain "what is causing the sudden loss of power " . . . Maybe you can offer some explanation in this regard ( I am a retired "old school" British Car mechanic ) so not very familiar with this engine ! Thank you !

So it’s lubing the rings and the tool is used to keep the line in the clamp and get so Lube on the piston rods sides and pistons multiple rings and the sides of the liner of the block all in one motion, fascinating

Like butter. Pre lubed cylinder walls and the right tool for the job, almost like it was meant to fit in there lol. Seen people cram them in sideways and beat them in.
