Purposely watching videos I KNEW would make me laugh got me through the intense pain of a recent break up, in the beginning at least. I know God guided me to it. 😅

I just popped on because I got your free booklet in the mail and had been enjoying it as a part of my library. I wanted to thank you for it. I’m not particularly religious in the formal sense that word implies. However I enjoy a very regular practice of sitting in prayer and meditation and studying spiritual writings of anyone who has searched long and hard for peace and love and infinite truth. Also writing about my own findings in a private journal to so as not to forget those sublime moments wherever the good lord had inspired thusly. The verses you talk about here has indeed been ones that often gets spinned in a harmful way by those without the gentle forgiving heart of Jesus. It seems to me that in this world no one escapes the feeling of separation and the experience of desire but the only good desire is to please the Lord who is the most gracious host of hosts whose example we may try and try each day ….. to be so true and whole and unadulterated in walking the way of him most holy. But for the grace of the lord go we all. Well your talk has given me much to ponder and pray about. Thank you again.

Thank you Matthew. I’m going through a terrible fear of dying. My little brother of 56 years died tragically 3 years ago. We were like twins. Only 2 in my family of 13 with blue eyes and blond hair. Knowing that maybe I will go to heaven though I’ve lived a sinful life, is comforting. I have ask for Gods forgiveness , but still I am scared of dying. Thank you for reading from the Bible everyday. I need your strength of faith to teach me . I am very grateful

For me it seems a call by the Lord to understand what the anger is saying to the individual. Anger is an emotion, and like all emotions, it is information. Information of where our hearts are, what hurt, or strife, or feeling of disconnection or abandonment has been brought forward. That call to awareness is crucial to seeing God at work in our lives.

And I happened to put in my pocket (I couldn't carry as much because I had to take a Lyft to and from Mass today) a booklet I got called Stop Drop and Pray by Barbara Alderfer. It seems to me after just reading a little bit that if you like and have benefitted from Matthew Kelly's work you would find this to be very helpful and perhaps life-changing. I believe it will be for me. Praise the Lord The parish I went to, Immaculate Conception in Hendersonville NC, sold it for two dollars from its nice bookstand. It says $3 on the back. On top of it all today, I learned I saved a dollar a few months ago! Yay for Christian charity. I'm going to go back and pray for the church your daughter mentioned in the video now. Today was the feast day of my parish's "namesake saint" as I call them- St. Barnabas. Hint hint - please pray for us, especially our priests. For what they do I don't think they get prayed for or loved enough. I know I have not, but Jesus in the Eucharist is changing that! Peace :-]

Wow, a new prayer! And a familiar one that got prayed for me! :-] - meaning i recognized the first communion prayer but then there were other petitions I'd not heard of at least connected with that. Believe it or not, I was halfway through giving God 15 minutes of quiet after Holy Communion (though the first half was to piano music because I read on Hallow the other day that Pope Benedict XVI said or wrote "Music can become prayer." And I say, and type, "tasks done from muscle memory can become quieting," hopefully you catch my drift. I needed music to reach the quiet place, or so it seemed. And then, by the end of this video, I had reached 15 minutes! All because I wanted to know what St John Paul II had written or said about Communion, or pray a prayer he might have composed. But it led me here. What a great joy to see and hear of this all... the first 35 or 40 pages of your book Holy Moments have really meant a lot to me, and it was sent for free. Please pray for me to cooperate with more of God's grace and for discernment and to not stumble again! I hope to meet you someday or at least in Heaven, I have a cool story about John Paul II as well! God bless and guide (draw, keep, protect, provide for, and heal) you and your loved ones. May He have mercy on you and lead your souls to Heaven. I pray He would give to you the gifts of faith and prayer, and pour out His Spirit without measure. And may you all receive and, according to His Will, administer the Sacraments Divine. Amen! Peace and blessings to you.

Maybe excellence is out because most ppl do work for others, they do the task given, and dont improve on it, maybe less work for others, minium amount and more work for self = excellence more

I need to reflect on the Beatitudes more often - thank you

I absolutely love the Beatitudes…what a wonderful way to start my week! What jumped out at me was Blessed are the merciful. There are some people in my life I have been working on forgiving. Truly forgiving. I find it’s a fluid thing; that forgiveness; depending on whether or not they transgress against me or my loved ones again in the same way, or even how tired and worn out I am, my moods etc…. I’m prone to hold that transgression against them once again. I pray for the wisdom to rise above feelings, personal likes and dislikes, and truly FORGIVE, without counting the cost, as Jesus did. Hey- if it was easy; everyone would do it, right?? 😊 Have a blessed day everyone.❤
