City of Glendale ⇨ 2021 Pete 520 NewWay Sidewinder
Here is one of Glendale's many sidewinders currently running. Quick fun fact, this and the two others like it are the only ones to have the small tailgate while the others have a larger, more rounded tailgate. I captured quite a bit of manual so hope you guys enjoy that.

There's only two of these left in the city. Once 130223 and 130219 are gone thats it, they're never coming back. Thankfully a few Ex-Phoenix's 2005, 2009, and 2010 curbtenders are run by a few private haulers up north

ACX Sidewinder D130, Glendale's Newest Truck!

Here is one of the four new ACX sidewinders Glendale has. Other units are D127, D128, and D129. These trucks came in back in mid November. Since then these trucks have been collecting trash and recycle daily. This route used to be done by D92 and now this is taking it's place making it a spare.

Here is Angelo driving his NewWay Sidewinder XTR! Expect to maybe see some pics of Peoria's oldest ASL's 1746 and 1770 in a few weeks as I might be visiting the yard sometime soon. If you didn't know Peoria is getting seven new Sidewinders mounted on BATTLE Motors low entry chassis. Once all 7 arrive the 2012 scorpions will be no more.

(1770 RV-13-0064) Spotted this completely by accident and to my surprise it was 1770! I present you very likely the newest and last video you will see of one of these 2012 scorpions Peoria has been holding onto. This truck and 1746 are the last of the 2012s, and could be getting sent away as i'm writing this. Anyway I would like to thank the driver for letting me video this beast one last time.

Nice video! I heard revving doesn’t increase the packer speed on the new ways. Pretty sure the only truck in the valley that increases speed at a higher rpm is the spartan 300.

Yeah Revving doesn’t really exist on Sidewinder packer. they all pretty much got 1 speed and that’s it. Arms can be sped up or slowed down tho
@@BuddyFilming the arms can only be sped up from the computer. Higher RPMs don’t increase the arm speed with all new trucks since most of the arms are electric instead of air driven.
@@benjisgarbagetrucks yup. However you can just slightly make the arm faster or slower without having to use the computer due to how fast you move the joystick.
@@BuddyFilming sort of. It’s not really how fast you move the joystick, it’s more of if you don’t pull it all the way in the correct position and pull it slowly then the arm goes a bit slower.

I don't understand why phoenix is losing some of there garbage trucks
They are being retired and replaced by new trucks. Same with Glendale, Peoria etc.

thats not their only last month I went to my aunts house in phoenix and she had big blue this same one on friday for recycle the next day on a saturday she had a curbtender big blue on trash
curbtender big blues got retired 4 years ago. Also the big blues never did trash
230199, 230200, 230201, and 230226 all got retired and sent to auction which leaves 230202 as the last blue scorpion. 930206-930211 all got retired ages ago. The last 2009 curbtender was retired back in 2020.

Hope you have a fun trip! yeah in November they put numbers on the front of all units, replaced the logos on every truck older than D106 with the new logo, and put a big glendale sticker on all of the scorpions
