That stage spotlight-like beam profile without any foreground spill will be useful to hunters in the woods and perhaps, movie theater ushers. The precise and floodless hot spot is also somewhat unsettling to me though. Imagine shining the torch here and there in total darkness when something frightening looking suddenly gets caught in its beam! 👻🔦

2:20 isn't that tint on SBT90.2 much greenish and yellowish ? Comparing to SFT40 in the l21a/b is pure white a bit cold white, and this sbt90 is so yellow..

I just ordered from convoy a C8+ with SFT40 (8A) in a blue body + SS bezel + LED RGB rubber switch, will put there a sony VTC6 cell, i hope it delivers me what i want, if not i maybe order next time a bigger light like the l21b/a with osram LED for the next occasion.

Enjoyed this short demo of the M21H at work. 🔦👍 I happen to have an M21H with the TIR optics too, but the only reason I bought it was for its green Getian GT LED. As predicted, the diffused optics made the green beam floody. Quite useful for indoors and medium range illumination outdoors. The ramping function is awkward though - it's too quick at the lower outputs and too slow at the higher levels. I might be wrong, but I think Convoy is the only brand I know of that offers the Getian GT color LEDs, besides the usual Osram LNM1.F1 and LPM1.F1 greenies. Unlike the green Osrams, the Getian GT green produces true monochromatic green, so orange and red objects will appear as dark brown and black since they absorb green light. 🔦🔆💚

Mate could it be a battery issue that it does not produce the full 5200lm?? I heard sofirn if30 has battery issue.

I received mine yesterday and being totally disappointed!! The UI is horrible, the body is much too thick in diameter for a 21700 light, looks and feels almost like a 26650 body, the weight balance is messed up and the on/off switching has latency, WTF!!? When I ordered it, I hoped it would be even better than the old GT Mini, but the old one is much more useful: it´s more compact and has the better UI; by far. I will keep it anyway as a part of my flashlight collection as a BAD example.

I bought my SP35T and a Wurkkos TD04 in the first quarter of 2024, almost two years since this video was uploaded. I have no idea if the 2024 edition has a buck driver but the SP35T is only sold with the Cree XHP50.2 emitter. They both have a near identical beam profile and identical modes of operation, but the TD04 has a moonlight mode that's really useful. It's a shame that the SP35T doesn't have a moonlight mode. 🌙🔦

That is an impressive Convoy FL, thanks for the demo mate! 🙂 Personally I avoid buying torches that use anything other than 18650 or 21700 format cells as the odd sized batteries tend to be either under capacity or more expensive than the 21700. The Convoy 12-group UI took me quite some time to get adjusted to, having been accustomed to Anduril 2 and proprietary Wurkkos/Sofirn UI. Of my 18 flashlights, only three are Convoy - an M1, S21B and M21H. I got them only because they were fitted with the green Osram W1, W2 and Getian GT green emitters. 🔦💚🔆 I've always wondered why Convoy doesn't allow the 35% output in any mode that also has the 50% level. If I want 100% output, I can't have the 50% mode either. It's bad enough the UI doesn't have stepless ramping and Convoy makes me choose between 35% and 50%. 😞

I love the brute power of the IF23, but that UI is way too much for my retarded brain. That's why I ended up ordering the IF24, which to me is a nice in between the 23 and the 24pro.

And after that, it reverts to a 900 lumens? If so, are there any models that have a 3,000+ lumen beam that sustains for a significant duration?

😀 Almost tempted, i wouldn't mind trying the 5700k version, but wonder by how far it underperforms its 3000 lumen rating, site says only 1 left.....but assume it will ramp down from max just as fast. So will pass for now.

This video was miserable. Clicked on a video about a flashlight and was subjected to a techno concert.

I hate 4000k emitters.. give me warm white for the fun or give me cool white. 5000k is tolerable, but 5700k+ is where it’s at.. except for 24-3000k. Those are nice for retro mag light vibes. I dedomed a 2700k and brought it to 2400k.. it’s nice… hate it for edc, but it’s nice.. been looking for a multi emitter 2700k I can use for more than 800lumens of joy lol
