Registrace 28. 06. 2019
All footage on this channel is in the public domain and was typically sourced from either the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) or the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). To the best of my ability, I have worked to retain uncompressed HD and 4k scans of 16mm and 35mm reels from these archives. It is my goal to host the highest quality content available of space history, low-quality scans will not be accepted. I have color corrected, repaired, and painstakingly upscaled all the footage for the best viewing experience. Feel free to rip any of the videos here to use in your work.
If possible, I'd appreciate a credit if any work in this project is used in any video, you may use in the following credit:

1978 Astronaut Candidate Capcom Briefing in Mission Control
NASA Astronaut Group 8 was a group of 35 astronauts announced on January 16, 1978. It was the first NASA selection since Group 6 in 1967, and was the largest group to that date. The class was the first to include female and minority astronauts; of the 35 selected, six were women, one of them being Jewish American, three were African American, and one was Asian American. Due to the long delay between the last Apollo lunar mission in 1972 and the first flight of the Space Shuttle in 1981, few astronauts from the older groups remained, and they were outnumbered by the newcomers, who became known as the Thirty-Five New Guys (TFNG).

The Lunar Orbiter program was a series of five uncrewed lunar orbiter missions launched by the United States from 1966 through 1967. All five missions were successful, and 99 percent of the lunar surface was mapped from photog...

I love the way he explained technically how the failure happened. He really wanted to know what went wrong because you can see how he knew so much detail.
Imagine the anxiety ......stomach turning cigarette smoking coffee drinking angst.
It's like... any death would have been tragic in NASA. Every single person that flies has put in the work to get there and is a very special person. So not to diminish anybody else. But... why did this have to happen to Christa. What a pure soul. Listen to your engineers, NASA.
Wow Collins got them laughing, then a standing ovation, Buzz must be fuming he got none of those lol
It only be no contest on the singleiest plane if the cost and time to manufacture was less per operating hour than the multi-use plane. Otherwise multi-use or single use would be unconsequential to the equation generally. However, most of the equipment on the aircraft can be used multiple times with a probability of efficiency that's going to warrant the risk that you're not using something brand new that was literally only tested and operated once the time it was tested😅 but there are different technologies you wouldn't want to use a rocket in order to get to the asteroid belt. I almost said saucer😅 lol very few people know how the saucer works so that would be unconsequential
But as far as outcome-based procurement, it should be outcome-based origination of ideas and or companies because a lot of companies are exploiting this within the United States, military and government organizations. You paid for the technology so why would you let the company own the technology? And also you know that there's going to be revisions to the original plan so if they can't design it modular then they should get punished for it not rewarded because they say they have to delay the project
If you control space and you control space technology, you could bankrupt any Nation on this planet. If they invest in gold you bring down enough gold that they can pave the roads in it. Like the Bible says in heaven as it is on Earth. The asteroid belt has so much raw material that it would make anything that you invested in on this planet worthless if another country understood how to get to it and bring it back to here. So if you invested in gold, there won't be enough gold on this planet as far as rarity to offset what they could bring in to move it towards a worthless commodity. So if gold was $1,600 an ounce and you knew your adversary bought in, you could bring it from space for probably $100 an ounce with the correct technology. Thus bankrupting any adversary that would stand against you. And the more raw material that you could bring in the more ahead of any other culture you're going to get. And it's not about anything but efficiency of operations. And there's only one way to achieve this well in my opinion. But what's an opinion?.. lol 😂 but if I had the audit my opinion, I would say that taking meetings for admirals in Pensacola was probably a validity to an opinion
This interviewer is mindblown. Meanwhile Gordon looks like he's been asked what he ate for breakfast this morning. The phenomenon is a matter-of-fact one.
People actually think this crap is real? You can clearly see the background drop screen, soils don't match in color, the rear projection shot of earth on the backdrop screen (oh Earth should be a lot bigger guys). We lost the technology yea right, never had it.
There goes the huge desk again, love hiding behind that desk. We cannot see the “astronauts”.😭
They are hiding the aliens under the big desk. I know it. I thought I saw a clammy skinned alien finger poking out. And weird green lights flickering under there. Actually no, not green, it was color humans have never seen before, some alien color.
Wonderful interview. Thank you.
4:55:00 Clearly in full sun. Why is the foreground so dim compared to the astronauts and the mountain in the back ? Did they move the set light closer to the astronauts?
Danke🥳

Saying the X 15 isn't a plane is the same as saying the X 1 didn't set the speed of sound record. "Stupid is as stupid does "
Say what? One has nothing to do with the other. That the X1 went faster than the speed of sound is a fact. Whether or not the X15 is a plane is not a question of facts, it depends on your definition of what constitutes a plane and what a unique air vehicle. If someone wishes to define a plane in terms of an air vehicle where lift is produced by the wings, then no X15 isn’t a plane. If you have evidence indicating those little stubby wings any produced some lift then sure you can call it a plane
I don't respect buzz aldrian as much!!
Cooper and Mitchell, the two former astronauts, are still to me the best evidence for UFOs!! They both left the elite status of society and said FCKED this!!! Something is out there! I seen it, but I don't know what it is!! Rip to both!!!

The apollo 1 was supposed to be the first crewed mission, after they launched a fire swept through the command module during a launch rehearsal test, burning all the 3 astronauts inside the space capsule
It would have been much better with audio! Nobody knows what they talking about!

Thank you for this 🎥 video.
That is definetely not the Moon
Where then? What place on Earth is a full vacuum like in this recording? Just look at how far the dust flies, it could not do that in an atmosphere and in Earth gravity.
@@canister6344 That is absolutely not the moon, the dust is just a special effect
@@wyqz-channel2829 Why don't you tell me how they made that "special effect"
@@wyqz-channel2829 Oh and also, just look at how still the flag is when the astronauts go close to it.
@@canister6344 I don't know exactly how they made the dust effect, analyse it and you'll see that it is absolutely a special/visual effect
Ой, пиздёж голимый!!!🤣
This video is unnerving. There's really no words to describe the psychological impact the apollo 1 fire had. They released 15 seconds of a horrific 40 second audio clip and none of the video. I hope they destroyed the tapes. We don't need our heros being a snuff film.
I don’t care what the tv networks said this was broadcast for me along with all of the other INCREDIBLE documentaries from “homemade documentaries” on CZcams this isn’t a plug this guy makes the greatest docs knows to man about each Apollo mission with tons of live footage and radio coms throughout
Like two Boys in a sandbox!
Hate to be negative but Elon should avoid the Polo shirts or hit the gym; not flattering.
I really benefitted from this interview/symposium. I have always loved the airforce/armed forces. I'm in total agreement of the necessity of being #1. The USA has always been a fight for peace force. If the USA does not retain this status/position they will become a victim of a dictatorship. Noone will be left to save the weak and vulnerable we will become the weak and vulerable. Stay strong and smart America. We need more Elon's...we need our smartest and strongest armed forces. Keep the high tech and innovation above and beyond...keep us surrounded with the best and brightest for the hightest outcome. We need the critical thinkers and problem solvers. We need to stay smart and strong...and appreciate smooth jazz😄
Jesse Loads fans gonna feel me on thos one 😂
I wonder if it's possible to make a fireproof jet?? A strong one that can stand a hard hit with safety features
Thanks for releasing the real videos. I am recognizing the scenes from Lovell's Apollo 13 book.
