Mikala is the current bronze level gymnastics region 8 champion. She is also listed in the 2018 top 100 gymnasts in the country at the bronze level. Wow that was awesome but so is her coach Pam. She taught my daughter in PC and ended up as a college athlete. We loved Pam - too bad we moved away in the middle of her gymnastics journey.

That was a great routine! I also am getting ready for competition season as a platinum and I hope to score a 9.5+ I wanted to ask where was this competition. :D I'm guessing you already moved up to diamond? My upcoming competitions are the kick-off classic and Christmas on the Chesapeake.

Do all higher lvl gymnast wear grips? My daughter is very good on bars but hates grips (maybe her hands are just so tiny) but I think the coaches are making the kids wear them in Gold :(
No, not all. You don't have to wear grips in any level. It helps some gymnast grip the bar better, and helps to have not so many rips. Some coaches do prefer their gymnast to wear grips though. If looking for a good grip brand I prefer English Bulldog!
personally, I also HATED grips before, but now that I am in these higher levels like platinum I can't do bars without them!

I just competed platinum this season! My score at states on floor was 9.3 and I placed second
Awesome job. Mikala took first at state with a 9.725. She was first all around and made team florida for region 8.

Boy was a bit overwhelmed! Just love Brooklyn's good sportsmanship, first at 2:02 when on her own, she released the boy from her headlock as soon as she realized he was in distress, then at 2:15 she went over to him to console him. Kinda felt sorry for her when the Ref waved her away. Only two uploads of Brooklyn's matches - hope she is still training and competing!
