Spot: The Cool Adventure (GB) Any% Speedrun
Have recently learned McDonaldland and grinding that and after getting WR on it decided to load up this game because it's the same thing minus the cutscenes. This was my first time playing/beating the game so I didn't realize there weren't any cutscenes and you didn't need to wait for the moneybag thing to drop after beating the boss so I lost a bit of time there. Sub 8 is possible.

Biggest time losses were on Stage 4, because sometimes when landing on a block you can pickup they game makes you completely stop moving. Stage 4 does it to me 95% of the time and it happened this run as well. Don't really know what causes it and the only stages that I have issues with it are 4 and 6. First off we have to talk about version differences. I only know about one, but it's a pretty big deal and that is the extra ¥2,500 the US version starts with. This allowed me to change the route that Bani used a bit and allowed for more Monk sacrifices which makes the game much easier and quicker. Missed the spider jump at the end of Stage 3-1. Overall a pretty solid run but that time loss will haunt me. Might improve sometime. SoB is 13:20 with two strats not used in video because low hp and the other being really precise and if failed costs ~1min. If those strats are used plus a god tier run sub 13 might be possible.

A few changes to the route since last run, mainly turning on "Thorn" while going through the last screen before the final boss. You won't get poisoned which makes this screen actually possible to get through without praying to RNGesus. A few mistakes throughout and a really bad final boss which means sub 9 should be possible. Several mistakes throughout but not a terrible run. The biggest time loss is the last screen before the final boss. I need to take a death there to be able to get through that screen, but sometimes I have too much HP. Need to route my HP better so I die from first hit of the enemy. Sub 9:30 is possible with better HP route and better boss fights. Played on bgb 1.5.7.

A lot of mistakes throughout, I've had several runs going better than this heading into the final stage (Base), but managed to throw them all away at the exact same spot, even though it's not a difficult stage. Got a bit trolled by the only RNG in the game, the boss on Base, but I finally managed to complete a run. Sub 21 should be possible with a really solid run and not getting RNG trolled. P...

New route using Up B to dash (thanks 8BitofJoy) and a new skip (thanks Sascha-Gaming) and a new route using the glitch I accidentally found and Xenkaroshi figured out how it worked so another thank you there. Sub 7 is definitely possible, no idea how much lower than that. Played on bgb.

A lot of mistakes throughout, but got lucky with an accidental glitch at the end of Stage 8. I died and finished the stage so was full HP going into Stage 9. Sub 8:20 should be possible. Don't know how much lower than that it can go. Sub 8:10 might be max. Played on bgb.

A lot of mistakes throughout the biggest being going the wrong way on Stage 10 and dying. One intentional death on Stage 7 that I probably shouldn't have done. Sub 8:30 is possible, sub 8:20 should be possible as well if you manage deathless. Don't know how much lower than that it can go. Sub 8:10 might be max. Played on bgb.

Sub 8!! What a truly horrible run this was. I made a lot of small mistakes throughout, but was saved by good RNG. I managed to get knocked off the platform on the second boss which wasted a ton of time, and had HORRIBLE RNG on the blimp. But was saved by the best RNG I've ever had on Mysterio, except for the final hit. Would really love to see this game go sub 7:30 but I don't have the patience...

15:17!!!!!!!! Sub 15 is definitely possible, my SoB is 14:42 and that can be easily improved upon. Sub 14:30 probably possible as well. But not by me, I hate running this game lol. I split a tiny bit late, should be a 15:17 Played on bgb.

- you can display many informations pressing Reset. (Car damage, position, etc) - i like the races in that game with the cool cockpit view. - what is annoying is there is no race available. You must qualify before any racing play.

How are you playing this? I've tried multiple emulators, and multiple different ROMs, but this game (along with Pinball Mania, and the compilation of those two games, Pinball Deluxe) constantly crashes for me. I have no idea why.

3:27:15 This game was addicting but also hair pulling at the same time. You need strategy. Always use Run 1 on Defense when playing the Raiders, but prepare for a pass. Choose Matthews, Dixon, or Minnifield. You should be able to pick a pass off easily once you get the hang of it. Not all the time, but at least enough.
