De-Bonding CA Glue
🔨 Learn more on the WWGOA website: www.wwgoa.com/
George did an experiment in the interest of science. He glued a couple of his fingers together with CA (cyanoacrylate) glue. He did this because Titebond Bob said he could get his fingers apart by soaking them in water. What?! Water will dissolve CA glue? Spoiler alert. Water won’t dissolve the glue, but it will allow glued together fingers to come apart.
As you watch the video and see how long this takes to work, keep in mind what Bob keeps saying over and over again. George put A LOT of glue on his fingers. If there had been a more realistic amount, like just a little dab, this would have gone a whole bunch faster.

Making Blind Cuts Safely

Make sure you’re always diligent about safety when you’re working in your shop, but be extra diligent when you’re making blind cuts. A blind cut is when you’re passing your material over a cutter that you can’t see. Your hand should never pass over a cutter, even when there’s material between you and the tool. This is where the Grabber Pro comes in. It’s a great push pad that’ll help you contro...

Is there a max. amount you would want to cut off in a single pass (ie. no more than 1/8"?).
Great video. Helped me a lot and was a total game changer for me. Happier than a pig in sh$t right now…ty
I gave my no4 a tune up this weekend, and planed a scrap piece of construction pine and wow it is like glass I can see reflections in it…is it ok to leave it at that no sanding ? Or will a finish raise the grain again or stay super smooth ?
Tip from Stew Mac video: For really stubborn buildup, place sandpaper in container, soak in CMT Orange Tools Formula 2050 Blade & Bit Cleaner overnight, rinse with water hose and let dry. The cleaner can be used over and over.
Ive been watching a number of videos to get the understanding of Sanding Sealer and this was easily the best, most clear and most helpful so far. Thank You!
very nice information
I got convex on a couple of boards and your explanation clears it all up. I just joined Premium and looking forward to learning from you. Thanks
Could you do this with a coping saw, or will the cut be too rough?
Super helpful… thank you. Especially the tip on distance from vise/heat sink and also the tip about difference between weldable steel vs. the other option in terms of length of time it takes to get it hot enough to bend.
Great video!
Great intro for a beginner like me! Thank you.
I was told that you need to keep your down pressure on the outfeed side. This makes sure the jointed edge is always riding against outfeed table. This is particularly important as you come to the end of the board. If you put pressure on the infeed side you will get snipe or a taper.
what happened to your video quality? youtube says it's 720p but it looks more like 144p. IOW, total potato quality :-(
thanks
Thank you!!!!
Anytime Bob is here with George I learn something. Thanks for the video. 👍
I have observed that Black Spalting demarcation line even happening on live threes we take down. thank you for introducing to me the term sanding wood. usually 3 to 6 of trunks youngest xylem. With trunks oldest colored hardwood down to the center pith
Looks fantastic. I wonder if we can do the same thing with the cold silicone instead
Good tip, I use fingernail polish remover, but this is much safer. Thanks
I have used olive oil to successfully remove CA glue from skin. It sure didn’t take as long to work either! LOL
Look on the wall in the back and see the hammers that are there. You should’ve gotten one of those and put it by your right hand because you might need it lol.
Massive cajones testing this, i use my hands most days as a woodworker 💪😂🎉
What does it mean when the bit tries jumping while you're making a cut? Is that a symptom of going to deep?
Some super unsafe work practices happening in this video holy crap..
Hey George, that was a great session with Bob@Titebond. I have marked the video for future reference as well. Here is Bob's recipe for getting dried glue off the parallel clamps - Wrap paper towels soaked in mixture of Acetone + Water + Vinegar (1:1:1 ratio) around the clamp bars. Cover that with plastic wrap to keep it moist. Leave it overnight. This will soften the glue which can then be scraped off. In case of TB III he mentioned, this will soften the top layer and you may need to repeat this after removing the top layer and as bottom layers are exposed. Looking forward to more such live events - will find out how to sign up for notifications. TC.
Thoroughly enjoyed this and will put it into use in the future . Have subscribed ,Thank you.
Perfect explanation. The troubleshooting helps a lot in my attempts to execute this. Thanks for the video.
Loving this - I am a TB guy all the way. Bob & George you are awesome. This is going to be my reference video for sure. @George - looking forward to more such videos. TC.
I like that your videos are detailed and throughly explained George! 😃👍
Thanks!!
My word of advice is if you are using them for the first time, don't use them on your project until you've verified fitment on scrap wood of the same dimension as the actual project. I used these to make a ring box and after making a very small error in measurement (about 1mm where my drill bit walked), it kind of messed it up as the lid was misaligned when open. I trashed that box and started over but when I got the to point where I was drilling holes for the barrel hinges, I used a brad point bit and a drill press to make the location more exact and it worked. But this time, I tested it on a scrap piece of the same dimensions and I'm glad I did as I had to adjust the method and hole location to make the lid open straight and open without contacting the base of the box. There is NO adjustments on these hinges so the holes have to be exact. But when they work, it makes for an awesome concealed look.
Hello. May we ask where can we buy that Taper Guide?

Did a 23 and me. Turns out I'm half chatoyance. Yeah we get it from my Ma's side apparently.
I didn't know these things existed. Very helpful! I don't have a garage where I can work on things. I have a shared courtyard, and we try not to let out personal projects become multi-day eyesores. Doing two sides in a single drying time will be very helpful. My current project has a side that can definitely skate by with a few irregularities.
Not complete start to finish. A waste of time
How do I lube the gears?
What kind of torch was that and where can you get it ! Thaks
The video left out the part about actually installing them.
Thank you I was wondering how to make dados with my new delta 12” sliding/compound miter saw! I can wait to use this feature
According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), table saw blades should be adjusted so that they only extend above the table's level as much as is necessary to make a cut in the wood. The bottom of the gullets, which are the valleys between the teeth, should be even with the top of the material being cut. This means that the blade should not extend more than about 3 millimeters (1/8 inch) above the material.
Wonderful, thank you. Have you done any videos on making flutes from antler, please?
This was another good one George! And I also would live at least a few hours notice. 1 day would be even better.
My workbench weighs 400 pounds. I'd level my assembly table, it's easier.
how can i make a straight edge on sheet goods

I learned something new today about my router table capabilities! Thanks!
Does water-based spar urethan need sanding between coats?
Great video. Thank You both!
I can do this in 5 seconds with NO measuring. 1. Move fence over to the right. 2. Place taper jig against fence. 3. Butt work piece against taper jig. 4. Place straight edge on pencil line on work piece and adjust jig so straight edge is also in line with tracks on table saw. 5. Move fence back to left to desired position It takes WAY longer the read what I just said than it does to do it. 5- 10 seconds max. Zero measuring.
KREG marketing department does it again!
Thanks for sharing and the encouragement.
Did it break on that small side there I have the same thing happening
