Congratulations 🎊 I failed Lvn/lpn program twice due to my learning disability, haven’t returned to try again since 5 years. It affected me emotionally and mentally whether I’m capable of becoming a nurse so been scared and traumatized to try again. Been wondering if I should even try again and do the RN program. What study methods did you use that helped you retain and comprehend what you study???

I tried to see if you had an email address on here where I could email you personally, but you know what? I will share what I have to say right here. First of all, I haven't met you, but I pray for everyone who faces depression, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts. I have lived it to a point where I felt like I was alive but not living. It was indeed debilitating. I know what you feel; I have felt it, and it is not something that I would ever wish on my worst enemy. If the people in your life have never experienced it, they will not understand, and that is why I pray as often as I can for you. Yes, I do pray for you. I pray for you and everyone who is experiencing anxiety, depression, and intrusive thoughts. Always remember that someone is praying for you. Just like when you pray and you pray for someone who is hungry or sick, you don't know where your prayers end up. I wish I could tell you that I am cured of depression, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts. I am not. But what I now have is peace, quietness, and joy. God removed everyone out of my life and did a deep cleaning. It hurt. I would lock myself in the bathroom and cry for minutes and then wash my face and come out just so my daughter wouldn't see me crying. I did this for days and weeks on end. At one point, I thought that I wanted to see a therapist. I have never seen a therapist, but if I was to see one, it would have to be a Jesus-believing therapist. I wanted to see a therapist, so I went on a health line thing. I believe it was during covid, but for some reason, I never got to speak to anyone. Little did I know that God wanted me to humble myself and seek Him wholeheartedly. I read the Bible and noticed that David said in Psalm 55:17, 'Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.' I also noticed that Daniel prayed three times daily. 'Daniel always prayed to God three times every day. Three times every day, he bowed down on his knees to pray and praise God.' I was taking some medication that was said to keep me calm, but the meds made me feel worse, so I discarded them and cried out to God in anguish, 'God, I am done with these medications; you will have to be my three pills per day.' I started praying in the morning, in the afternoon, and at night before I went to bed. At first, nothing happened. I would still cry and still get sad, but I would challenge myself to keep going regardless. It was not easy. Most days, I did not want to get out of bed. And as soon as my eyes would open, there would come the dark cloud hovering over my head. I still cried, but this time I would cry and pray, and in between, I would keep a song in my heart so much that my daughter would tell me that I was humming in my sleep. It happens suddenly. One day I was like, 'Wait a minute. I don't feel sad, and there is quietness in my head.' This is already long, but I just want to leave you with three things. Pray three times daily. When the negative thoughts come, say OUT LOUD what you are THANKFUL FOR, and find for yourself scriptures such as 2 Timothy 1:7. God has not given you the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. Put those scriptures up somewhere where you can see them and recite them until you know them by heart. Read also Psalm 91 and understand that God has given you the POWER TO TRAMPLE UPON SERPENTS AND SCORPIONS AND UPON ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY, AND NOTHING SHALL BY ANY MEANS HURT YOU. I wish I could truly tell you my testimony, but keep pushing. God is with you. You are a winner. Life took you through many hoops, but sweetie, there is a purpose and a calling on your life. God has angels protecting and guarding you. The enemy is trying to get you to believe in his lies because there is no other way he can have an effect on you. The truth is the devil is AFRAID OF YOU; best believe it. You are a CHILD OF THE GOD THAT HE HATES. Your FATHER will destroy demons for you; you are protected. Chin up, sweetie. Keep pushing; turn to the back of the book; we know how the story ends. Don't be afraid to share your testimony. It might not seem glamorous to you, but your Father in heaven is PLEASED with you. #God wins 🏆

Congratulations! I'm in Nursing school and I'm trying to keep pushing through. When you started again, did you have to start all over? I'm retaking Pharmacology now and I'm fearful of having to take Fundamentals over again and it will my 2 strikes.
