How did u say transition from a F2P friendly game to P2W game? the game has been massively P2W ever since day 1 and its only gotten more F2P overtime until 2021 where they added level 14 and 15 and reversed everything they did
I disagree. I think the addition of pass Royale with all of its value made it a way bigger disadvantage to not spend money. Now evolutions have made that 10x worse. Now it seems they are giving away evolutions for free through those events on the home screen so maybe they are turning things around a bit…

I'm Free to play, with 5 lvl 15 cards, 5 Evolutions, Arena 22. It's not that hard tbh
5 evolutions is good, but I feel like not being able to have ALL the evolutions unlocked is what bothers people.
@@BrainDeadCR I'm fine with it Icl, I used to play miner and graveyard, but with the introduction of dagger duchess, i had to changed decks. I was able to upgrade a giant bomber deck really easily
My only problem is the lack of gold as I took a break for the game in the chess update

I totally agree! As an investor and big Clash Royale fan, I loved how you showed exactly why this game is far from dying out. It's completely normal for the game to have an 80% decline after several years... that's just how it is with almost every game. But the fact that it stayed around 20% and will most likely go higher over time, keep generating revenue, and that they're spending money on ads, I don't see Clash Royale going anywhere. Also, even though the evolution mechanic is a pretty good addition to the game, having 117 cards or so is really not that high of a number, and I could see over 200 cards in the game 10 years from now. Good vid!
Agreed! Thanks for the comment! I feel like evolutions help because it’s hard to come up with unique card concepts that don’t feel too similar to other existing cards. Evolutions give the devs space to mess around.

@@BrainDeadCR I don’t think Minecraft is dying, the player base only had one real dip, which was the dark ages where Roblox and Fortnite started growing rapidly so Minecraft had competition but now Minecraft is its archetype of game and no other game beats it in that category. Even though Roblox is close and does make more money than Minecraft, Minecraft is just way too unique.
@@tyjackgaming4574 I agree. Minecraft is in one of my top 3 or top 5 favorite games and always will be. It’s just too nostalgic and well-made to forget.
As long as there's a community playing and enjoying a game, it's never dead, it doesn't necessarily has to be trending on top every time.

The only big thought I have is the possibility for growth. The game can grow in size a lot, but some features that would allow the game to grow could be exploited by aspiring developers looking to get a player base for a game. Such as making it more f2p overall, making the pass royale purchasable with gems or some other currency in the game, adding 3 free chests a day, and all kinds of other stuff.

I like the video and agree with it! it is always interesting when I hear that a game is dying. I know it has its ups and downs but I did not think this game was dying. I agree that while the evolutions can be really strong, they are what keeps the game going. I admit, I recently started getting into the game because I saw gameplay that had the evolutions and I thought they were the cooolest thing. That and seeing all the youtubers and Esports around the game made it all the more intersting to me and eventually got me to play more.
