WARREN HARRY ME RUN RUN MICKYNONAMES VIDEOS
How many members were there in WH when they started?
Might have been 1977 rather than 1077, but who knows?
Canterburty... Is that one "T" too many?
At 4:07 i remember training and using those teleprinters when i was in the RAF 1971-1987.
I was the bass player with the band at this time. Never really found out why I got kicked out, but I got a proper job (At RSD/Studiomaster) so can't complain.
I saw Warren Harry many times in the Red Cow and elsewhere back in the day. Always great fun. Thanks for the chance to hear some of the live show again.
Wonderful memories 🙂
Ah! Memories. Thankyou! Skipped a beat!
Funny you
Did warren have a song called headache
Was bacall a funny fella Did the band have an unreleased album Have you got any of warrens unreleased 80s music or an interview from the 70s Was you still in the band when he went to Holland Have you heard his unreleased 2007 album What do you think he says in the chorus of another tear by Warren Bacall. Thats it. Bye❤
Yes Yes
Yes No No Can you enlighten me to the unreleased 2007 album? WhT did he say ?
Pim gunzel was working with him on an album from 2006 or 7 i believe @@mickynoname
Would love to ask so many questions about bacall (I'm used to calling him that) Reply to this if you are busy or if I can have a little knowledge from asking some questions ❤
Ask I will reply 👍
Hi, I had a great time watching Warren Harry at the Red Cow, perhaps over 30 times in the late 70's. There were over half-dozen of us that came regularly, and I even had a bunch of t-shirts printed up with "Warren Harry are Popstars"!! I can still remember Warren coming out of the dressing room in the middle of the show with talc all over his hair.
Wonderful video. RAF history.
Hi I am doing research for bands in Cyprus from the 60s. Can you help me get in touch with Bill?
Those pictures bring back memories of my 3 years at No 1 School of Technical Training, RAF Halton, '75 to '78, as an airframe & propulsion apprentice. Accomodation was very similar in 14-man rooms with memories of bull nights, buffing the centre deck, bed stacking and marching up and down the hill 4 times each day to the sound of the agony-bags to name a few, plus celebrating our 1st anniversary on 1st of April by pinching a helicopter and planting it on the Groves-Henderson parade square 😁😁
Amazing memories. 1964-1965 RAF Cosford. Still best pals even today of those surviving. Would we do it all again. Oh yes I am sure.
13th yatesbury Air Wirelss, from a pit village in the NE to the Wiltshire Downs thought i was on a different planet, after my 18months was posted to Hemswell to share a billet with Fred Trueman and then shipped off to Hong Kong/Butterworth/Tengah returned to Uk Finningley 101sqd Vulcans with a tour of Argentina and the whole of S America finally demobed 1961, next day secured a job with ICI as an instrument tech (only got the job because the boss was ex WW2 aircrew and i went for interview in my workin blue!) After 4yrs with ICI i left and went freelancing with all the major oil companies on and offshore retired in 2000 and here i am at the side of my pool in Thailand aged 87yrs with a cold beer wondering what my next move will be CHEERS
This is from the days before the 'wimmin' invasion when it was OK to be male.
RAF. I’ve served in both RAF and Royal Navy. RAF standards are shit.
As you downgraded to fish head from the RAF, I can see why you are bitter. Seen too many golden rivets, no doubt.
I often worked RN ships from the WOp cabin on Gan. RN operators weren't as crash-hot as they were made out to be.
My father was a submariner serving in World War II and the mobbing in the late 60s. When I said I wanted to join the Royal Navy's advice was very simple, don't. He went on to say the Royal Air Force looked after people far better than the Royal Navy and it was the only sensible service as it sent its officers to war, the men stayed behind. Sound advice I took it and don't regret it.
Beautiful
Could you Film from Ballhalbert to Portavogie along the shore line and view of the ocean one day?
I was in 16th Entry 1952 but bailed out and rejoined at 18 1956. What this wearing white gloves?
Remember seeing these a good few times in the 70's, brilliant live.
ThanksPaul and we loved playing 👍👍👍
Flute and lead guitar on this was Jakko Jakszyk, wonder what happened to him...
I hope this answers your questions 👍 jakko.com/
Must add RIP Graham Dibble (lead guitar), a lovely bloke. Funny and clever.
Brilliant guy and like a brother
If I remember correctly from the 70s Cosford had the largest accommodation block in the RAF , was it called Fullerton block? Or was a that the WAAF block 😂😷🤣. I hope the Spiders Web 🕸 Caff is still there.
It was Fulton Block. I was there, 41st Entry, 1960-1962, Ground Wireless. (C Flight, in G lines huts.)
@@jameswyse5590 Fulton, Thanks mate. The memory is fuzzy.
@@jameswyse5590 I too remember the Fulton Block - ex 41st Teleg. I also remember 'bumpering' the bl..dy corridors - or being in the naafi when the main fuse was pulled - only to find there was nothing left when the lights went back on - oh what happy memories - I think the youths of today have missed out on a fantastic experience - went on to serve in Germany, Singapore, Borneo, Bahrain as well as short trips to Malta and Delhi - all courtesy of the 'Queens Shilling' (which immediately disappeared into the barber's pocket!!)
Bob Clarke 51st Photo ( nearly the best time of my life )
I WAS THERE IN 1969.BUT LEFT AFTER 15 WEEKS.TAKE A LOOK AT MY VIDEO ON HERE
We were your 'siblings' the 51st last of the Boy Entrants at RAF Hereford. 22nd January 1964 to 22nd July 1965. We were fortunate that a parent took a cine film of the parade, though unlucky in that rain was forecast and the parade moved into the hanger. This is a great memorial of those times thank you. iindex.wistia.com/medias/oqibju7vze
Hi there was a Boy Entrant Photographer in 48th entry so your photos brought back some nice memories. Regards Chalky White
Great times at Westfield College - we had you guys there several times and it was always a bangin' show. I remember Warren used to put talc in his hair on one of the numbers..
Hi Wilf LFFE , Yes I remember it well and it was our most favourite venue to play. Great crowd and always a party atmosphere ... thank you Paddy (Drummer)
99 lads joined up on 22nd January 1964 - the 51st Entry and last of the Boy Entrants. Variously 65 of us have attended reunions - back at Hereford - since the 50th Anniversary in 2014. A demonstration of how important to our lives being an RAF Boy Entrant has been.
I was a Boy Entrant Telegraphist (48th), best decision of my life
Sad to hear Warren has passed. I used to follow him and the band around North London e. The Pegasus, Music Machine, The Red Cow. I hope he wouldn't mind but used to play 'Radio' and 'School Girl' with a band I was in. Always remember talcum powder in the hair and the guitarist dressed a a nun :-)
Billy Keating Was Graham Dibble still playing with the band then or had Jakko joined them on lead guitar ??
Not sure.Dark haired guy. Looked a bit like the drummer from Cockney Rebel.
Billy Keating ..Graham is the guy to the right of Warren and I am in the drums and that was a pic when we did our first gig as a band
Thanks for uploading more Warren Harry. Brings back lots of memories of "discovering" some fascinating bands in the late 70s. Saw the guys a couple of times in small clubs in Plymouth and later was really surprised to find one of the college societies at Uni had booked Warren Harry for their mid-year party (held in one of the smaller SU bars) .... of course, I felt compelled to attend. :-)
Thank you I uploaded these as they were on a cassette and most were recorded on a live gig in Canterbury on a an old reel to reel tape recorder... which was later transcribed onto a cassette and 30 years later found in the garage.. so got them transcribed onto digital and uploaded before they got lost forever.. I’m really glad you enjoyed 😜😜😜😜 Paddy
For the age of the recordings, they've survived remarkably well .... you must have a very weather-proof garage! It really is great hearing these tunes again after all this time, reminds me just how musically inventive and fertile the 70s were. I always felt slightly deprived that my only recording is a 7" pressing of I Am A Radio (I bought it on release) - a shame there was no album, so, it really is a joy to be listening to these tracks via the interweb. Thanks, again.
THIS WAS MY FAVOURITE! So good to hear it again!
So good to hear these - thanks for uploading them.
I remember this one so well, though I've not heard it for 40 years or so. I wish the album had come out...
daunrussell if you check Dan I have uploaded some stuff from the same Gig.... it was recorded on an old tape to tape reel.. then transferred to a cassette tape... then left in the garage for over 30 years... transcribe digitally and I uploaded it.. so the cassette tape stop the test of time lol... thank you by the way 😜😜😜
Yes, I just stumbled across them last night - it's great to hear this stuff after so long. I'm glad they survived the garage. :)
I remember WH playing several gigs at Westfield College in Hampstead in the late 1970s. Great memories!!
Jack Fire ..thank you Jack .....one of our favourite places we played.. always a great crowd
Jack Fire ...there are a few tracks from a live gig at Canterbury around the same time you might like which I recently uploaded 😜😜
I'll have a look! What was the song where the chorus was "Warren Harry are pop stars" which was repeated and repeated and repeated? Loved it!!
Jack Fire LOL 😂 there was always different things that happened at Westfield that didn’t happen anywhere else as we found it brilliant playing there but the only songs I remember it may have been could have been ...I Wanna be in the movies... I Wanna be in the.. NME .. or possibly any one of the wee rocky songs as Like I say playing there was Party time 😂😂😂😂😜👍
The "Warren Harry are pop stars" was a chant that went on and on........I remember it clearly, forty years later! Westfield certainly had a soft spot for WH....good times. I'm sure I remember the "I wanna be in the N.M.E." song too.....is that on CZcams? It's playing in my head as I type this......
I'm not usually one to wallow in nostalgia, but my goodness this does take me back :-) I've just subscribed to Spotify and have been trying to see if i could find tunes from my younger days that aren't listed. This was one. I remember Warren Harry very well from when I was a spotty youth. A student, staying in a halls-of-residence at Southampton Uni. The band was very popular in Southampton. Always a sold-out house. I bought the single, but sadly lost it in the intervening years. I also remember the flip side 'The Queen'. I can recall the tune even after 40 years (isn't the musical brain amazing!) but the only lyrics I remember are: 'Everyone would look at her upon the village green, and say she was the prettiest girl the world had ever seen'. Ah yes, those heady days. I had an unrequited crush on a girl in our village. Still tugs at the heart strings :-) I am going to hunt down a copy of the 45. Thanks for the memories Michael, and Warren.

Red Cow in Hammersmith was a memorable regular venue. Good memories
Yes, very good memories. I was at the Red Cow at least a dozen times to see Warren Harry (are pop stars). Even had a bunch of sweatshirts printed up with Warren Harry are Popstars! He invited me on the stage one time.
Michael, did you ever play Wolverhampton Polytechnic Students Union? I seem to remember Warren Harry playing there two or three times between 77 and 80 when I left. Always a brilliant evening.
Hi Chris , Yes we did and I am not sure if you are aware but sadly Warren and Graham are both no longer with us but I remember those days with great fun and pleasure :)
I live in Béziers
Beautiful
Love it hun xx
Beautiful songs! Thank you and thanking God for you. Praying for revival to the wonderful Irish XX
Wondering what was the occasion for this Armagh County Primary street parade with a mighty show of winged folk portraying angels, butterflies, and faeries amongst an array of happily-clad characters.
i was there in 1961/62 as a jt in the comms centre at the end of the corridor
Great track.
