Masterful bit of 3D drawing! It looks like BR Freightliner containers were slightly different from ISO shipping containers that are commonplace today

Has anyone had any problems with any orders with KR direct? I've been waiting TWO months for my order. I then discovered Rails of Sheffield have these wagons "off the shelf".

Absolutely extraordinary - the detail you have captured is quite astonishing. An incredible piece of work! As others have said before me, please let me know if ever you are minded to sell these, as I would absolutely love to have one!

Just as a point of interest and correction. The wagons shown on the Airfix Kit box for their 9F were not Consett iron ore hoppers but NCB coal hoppers. These were available from Lima 302892 . I too was always interested in the Tyne Dock Consett wagons and collected 9+ of the lima wagons intending to convert/repaint, but I'm now waiting for a delivery from KR of the correct ones. NCB had built a similar wagon and was quite common throughout Europe, but the Consett wagons were specifically designed for that one route and only ever used there. It's just a pity the doors on the KR model don't operate, they do on the Lima model!

Very good example of a flask. I was a Refuelling controller at Calder Hall power station and loaded hundreds of flasks in my time for transfer across site. Have you posted the STL file on the Thingiverse site by any chance. I have the same Illigoo printer has your self and Chitubox to produce them. Would appreciate your assistance if you have put them on the site or if not could you mail me the file, im happy to reimburse you bearing in mind the amount of time it must have taken you to design the flask. I have a class 37 with the Lord Hinton name plate. A large bolder was installed just across from my office with a plaque commemorating Lord Hinton has he was part of the team that designed Calder hall

What sort of power are you using on the laser cutter to burn of the paint

I see when you are designing the plug that the version uploaded to thingiverse has no scallops for the soldered wires, did you decide in the end these were not required?

Wow - that's a lot of skills involved in all that! Excellent results - and well explained. I'd like to have seen a bit more on how you did the wiring and connectors. Great stuff though.

Hi Andy. Great solutions to problems - both for the mimic board and the point motor plugs. Unfortunately, this is a little too technical for me at my early stage of building a layout and the fact that I have no access to either a laser cutter or a 3-D printer. Nevertheless, it's great to see what can be achieved.

Hi. I have both analogue and digital locos, so I would be very interested to hear how you manage to supply DC and DCC power to your layout.

I was looking forward to this. Given the information you had to hand this is a good representation. I've seen quite a few of the later model flasks which you have pictures of. Never know the early ones were painted yellow. I was a initially bit surprised that there's no buffer wagon between the flask and the locomotive but being steam there's a tender so I guess that would serve just as well.

This video made me quite nostalgic. My father helped start up the Hunterson A reactor in Scotland and spent his last years travelling to different reactors writing the manual for the decommisioning crews . He said there were more people working on the reactor after it was shut down then there ever were when it was running. He was once involved with an incident with a flask where someone had drained the water from it without telling anyone, so when it was opened at the bottom of a fuel pool, a giant air bubble came out and there was a mad scramble to run away before it reached the surface.

Brilliant. I have a Monoprice 3d filament printer which I purchased a few years ago. I should have held out fir the recon but at the time I was told it is a bit messy. Great job📐🖊👍

I only came across your channel today and I am so impressed. Your skills with CAD, 3D printing and laser cutting are revelations as to how far the model railway hobby is progressing. It is astonishing that you have so few subscribers and views. Your presentations are excellent.

Brilliant job, been looking at these for a while in the hope they become RTR. I'd buy one as a kit or RTR if you decide to sell.

Absolutely fantastic. The best, neatest and most professional mimic panel I've ever seen, truly a thing of beauty. I've never seen a printed circuit board used in a control panel for a model railway before, but the neatness, along with the D sockets and plugs take your work to the next level. I also admired your use of eyelets and cable ties to keep the wiring neat and tidy below the basboard. Outstanding quality of work. Do you produce these panels commercially?

Excellent detail! Just how long did it take?

I don't want to be amazingly critical, but the sound is only representing the exhaust from one cylinder. It should, as Peter Smith writes in Footplate over the Mendips on driving Black a Five, have 4 beats to a bar, or revolution. Each cylinder delivers two beats per revolution, your driving rig shows very clearly only two beats.. Can the chip be reprogrammed to do this?

Great video and review. Out of 9 wagons only one screw in mine actually fitted correctly into the counter sunk hole. I suspect screw head outer diameter too large?

If this gets repeated it’s because I’m an old duffer, your idea is to good not to steal & probably by the company that makes the point motor

The wagons look good but the build quality is not there. I have heard about the bogie screw issues and missing loads before people are paying a lot of money at least the manufacturers can do is make sure it's fit for purposes. I brought K R Models blue GT3 a while back got it home placed it on my layout to run it in . The model lasted 20 minutes before the motor gave out the lights were on but no movement. I took it back to Rails of Sheffield they tired to get it to run even putting in a DCC decoder in still nothing so was refunded. I doubt I will buy another KR Models product again .

Wow 👌 Amazing knowledge and skills, way beyond my abilities! When I look at my mimic panel currently under construction it looks like a snakes nest. The fiddle yard one looks amazing. I'm presuming the Peco accessory switches provide the feedback to the mimic panel as you are using DCC and insulfrog points? Subscribed 👍
