I never heard that one oddball jon Bon Jovi record so its not listed 20/20 is a great record honestly the only record since These days worthy of standing with the classics 23 Have a Nice day 22 the Circle 21 Forever 20 This left feels right 19 Destination Anywhere 18 bounce 17 Box set 1,000 fans 16 What about now 15 Richie Soul 14 Richie Aftermath 13Burning Bridges 12This house is not for sale 11 Richie Sambora Stranger 10Crush 9 Lost Highway 8 7800 Farenheit 7 Bon Jovi 6 Blaze of Glory 5 2020 4 Slippery 3 New Jersey 2 Keep the faith 1 These days
They would just put the band name on Aces and call it a day.
Couldn't argue that...I'd throw on a couple of Paul's songs though
I agree with ya brother, but not in a million years would Paul let Ace have the opening track, Rock On, 🤟
Very good 👍🏼 I would just add another Gene but all good
Just go with Ace. Done.
Can't really argue that lol I do like Paul's but Ace's album is on a whole other level
Already done vy Casablanca Records in '78 in their European release "Best of Solo Albums". So you're kinda 46 years late here 😂
4 side album 1 side per member!
Off the top of my head Tonight You Belong To Me Wouldn't You Like to Know Me It's Alright Love In Chains Goodbye Radioactive Burning Up With Fever See You Tonight Man of 1,000 Faces Mr. Make Believe I'm Gonna Love You That's the Kind of Sugar Papa Likes Kiss the Girl Goodbye Hooked On Rock N Roll I Can't Stop the Rain Rip It Out Speeding Back to My Baby Snowblind What's On Your Mind Fractured Mirror
I'd do 60% Ace, 20% Paul, 10% Gene, 10% Peter. Looks as if you agree.
Sounds about right
I did this for myself a long time ago. Here's what I came up with: 1. It's Alright---Paul opener and the most KISS-sounding song on his album, IMO. 2. Livin' in Sin---not a great Gene KISS song, but there aren't many "KISS" songs on his solo record. 3. Kiss the Girl Goodbye---had to have one Peter song and this is it for me over I Can't Stop the Rain. 4. Rip It Out---fantastic Ace song. 5. Wouldn't You Like To Know Me---Paul 6. Radioactive---Gene (I left off the long intro) 7. New York Groove---Ace 8. Move On--Paul 9. See You Tonight---Gene 10. What's On Your Mind---Ace There are many Ace songs I'd like to put on a 10-list album. Also, tough to leave off Tonight You Belong To Me, but I always thought it was missing something. I Can't Stop the Rain I really like, but Peter only gets one song. If I re-did it today, I'd drop a Gene song (probably track 2) and put another Ace song in, and I'd put Tonight You Belong as the Side 2 opener and drop Move On.
I’ll save you some hassle and make a KISS album from the ‘78 solo albums. It’s the Ace Frehley solo album You can make a second subpar album from the rest of the solo albums.
Pretty much so, I like Paul's solo album but it's not as solid as Ace's.
Agreed . Paul’s album is easily second best of the solos, but for me Ace is #1 by a mile.
(and Paul #2 over the others also by a mile).
Your know nothing about Bon Jovi they are the best band in the world 🌎 and me and my twin sister are 36 we got into Bonjovi when we were 10 our parents were and Are die hard fans they took us to our first concert when we were 10 and we are so happy they did they are still die hard fans and we are too , they have been to so many concerts and so have we , we bought everything from the forever album cds merch everything Bon Jovi forever btw have you seen their bio pic Thank you Goodnight l bet not this is my opinion and l totally disagree with you !
And l follow your channel not anymore have a nice day that Bon Jovi would say !
Actually I have seen it, watched it the night it was released
I think they did release an album called Best of Solo Albums in 1978. But it was only released in Europe.
Dont bring up Sambora again!!!
Richie was an integral part of Bon Jovi for 30 years, Bon Jovi wouldn't be the band they are without him. That being said, Bon Jovi is still great without Richie. THINFS and Forever are great albums imo
How dare you putting Richie Sambora music as a Bon Jovi album! Shame on you!!! Ritchie Sambora play solo Bon Jovi is a band, 2 different things
Great topic! Not sure how mine would actually work out as a real KISS album, but Ace & Peter's are my 2 favorites out of the 4. 1. Tonight You Belong To Me 2. Rip It Out 3. Tossin & Turnin 4. What's On Your Mind (I agree... very underrated... maybe this could've been a successful single for the band) 5. Hooked On Rock & Roll 6. Love In Chains 7. You Matter To Me 8. Radioactive (I just can't get into Gene's at all... Radioactive is cool though) 9. New York Groove 10. I Can't Stop The Rain
I'm with you on Gene's, never been a fan. Though I'm not as crazy about Peter's, I do like his better over all than Genes, though I like See You Tonight alot. I really struggle to include the typical 3-4 Gene songs on solo album compilations lol
No New York groove. Solid picks though.
New York Groove is great though!
My album would have a different look. Only one song apiece from Ace & Peter (I only rate one song on the former's release. The latter has a bunch of good tunes but they aren't particularly Kiss like), then four each from Paul & Gene (love both their albums): 1. Tonight You Belong To Me (PS) 2. Living In Sin (GS) 3. Man Of 1000 Faces (GS) 4. Easy Thing (PC) 5. It's Alright (PS) 1. Radioactive (GS) 2. Wiped Out (AF) 3. Mr Make Believe (GS) 4. Move On (PS) 5. Take Me Away (Together As One) (PS)
You definitely have the more KISS like ratio there lol
Top 6 in reverse order: 6 - Debut 5 - Keep The Faith 4 - 7800F 3 - SWW 2 - These Days 1 - New Jersey
BONJOUR BON JOVIS
Thank you. This Left Feels Right is so wrong. 😂 I love Every Word Was a Piece of My heart ❤️! 2020 would have been #23 for me.
I thought after Wanted it might be ok but it went downhill pretty quick lol That's a good song, one of my favorites from DA
Great list. Fair play for picking ‘Diver Down’ as your favourite! I’d dump those 2000 remasters though - terrible sounding, brickwalled and smashed with compression. Original first issue CDs are superior sounding. Or else Mobile Fidelity are releasing the six pack as SACD’s, and those usually sound brilliant. But those 2000 remasters are worthless.
I see you first issue cds in my travels from time to time, I'll have to pick one up one of these times!
What about the album z cross roads
I didn't include it because it's a greatest hits album.... the only reason I included TLFR is because all the songs had been rewritten
# 5 - Aerosmith (debut) # 4 - Get A Grip # 3 - Rocks # 2 - Get Your Wings # 1 - Toys In The Attic
Animalize is underrated album for sure. I Like it. My top 5: 1. Debut 2. Hotter Than Hell 3. Dynasty 4. Lick It Up 5. Creatures of the Night
Bro didn’t even MENTION Santa Fe or I’ll Be There For You, two of the all time greats. 100% agree regarding Without Love too. Always felt that way about it, and thought the same thing about Hearts Breaking Even and I Want You too. Top 10: These Days Keep The Faith Slippery When Wet Blaze Of Glory New Jersey Lost Highway This House Is Not For Sale Bounce Crush 2020
Those are great songs though I'm a little burnt out on I'll Be There For You. I can agree with you on Hearts Breaking Even, I Want You has some great moments too
My personal rankings and how many songs from each I have on my daily playlist/liked songs on spotify are: 1. Hysteria 16/12 (Tear It Down, Ride into the Sun, Ring of Fire, and PSSOM Radio Edit from the deluxe version included) 2. High N Dry 10/10 (Not a huge fan of Me and My Wine or the Bringing On the Heartbreak remix from the deluxe version, but if I'm going to listen to an album front to back this is 2nd to Hysteria) 3. Pyromania 11/10 (Rock Brigade-live from the deluxe version included) 4. Adrenalize 10/10 Pretty standard top 4 by most accounts. 5. Euphoria 12/13 (Not a fan of disintegrate) 6. X 9/15 7. Retroactive 8/14 8. Def Leppard 8/14 9. Diamond Star Halos 7/15 10. On Through the Night 5/11 11. Drastic Symphonies 4/16 (All but 'love" and "Kings of the World" are on my playlist in their normal versions, only liked 4 enough to add them as duplicates) 12. Songs from the Sparkle Lounge 4/11 (Although this video might inspire me to listen through it again) 13. Yeah 3/14 (Didn't really care for any until this past month, I really like Rock On, No Matter What, and Hell Raiser) 14. Slang 0/12 (Turn to Dust is on my playlist but only the drastic symphonies version) Overall there are 109 Def Leppard songs on my ~2000 song playlist, double the next most common artist (the Beatles)
I'm glad Euphoria is getting love!
@@themindseyecmh I’m surprised you like Euphoria but dislike X… they’re probably the two most poppy sounding Leppard Albums. And Sparkle lounge is a super random choice
Analogue Man is a surprisingly strong late career effort. Great bargain!
i cant really listen to 80s/90s aerosmith. im not a big fan of them but the songs i like are all from 70s. thats a pretty good Cracker album. Movie Star is a great tune. you pronounced Quadrophenia right. Thats the soundtrack, not the original album. Having said that the movie is great worth a view.
My top 5 bon jovi albums non solo:5. These Days 4. Slippery When Wet. 3. Lost Highway. 2. New Jersey. 1. Keep the Faith
Nice haul as always! Jackyl are so underrated!
Yeah i forgot how good the are!
Love Good Guys Don't Always Wear White. Appreciate your Bon Jovi content man! Keep up the good work!
Nice haul! Maybe I should do a video just on AC/DC and Bon Jovi 2000s and later releases in my collection :)
That'd be great 👍
My ranking (but I do love all of the tracks): 12) Kiss the Bride 11) I Wrote You a Song 10) Living In Paradise 9) Hollow Man 8) Legendary 7) We Made It Look Easy 6) Seeds 5) My First Guitar 4) The People's House 3) Walls Of Jericho 2) Living Proof 1) Waves
Our lists are very similar except for Living In Paradise and My First Guitar lol
@@themindseyecmh it hurt a bit to put Living In Paradise so low, but it had to go somewhere lol
@@seppe1102 I know the feeling lol
I dont have any kind of channel on here or anything but Im a diehard Collective Soul fan. Ive seen them in concert about 10 times or so and am always impressed. I like this video despite the fact that I saw this list and thank you for doing it but...I find it hilarious that almost everything you said I disagree with. lol. This would be mine... 12. Vibrating - Boring songs especially after it followed what I consider to be one of their best - Blood for 1 main reason...IT WAS FUN! It's a great fun listen that Vibrating just isnt in my opinion. 11. Blender - Funny that you think it's their best. Besides the first 3, Perfect Day and probably After All Im done. 10. See What You Started By Continuing - Too much average stuff from mid to end although funny you said Without Me does nothing for you... I think this is one of their most underrated. Love it. 9. Hints, Allegations ... - It sounded exactly like Ed said...a garage recording that he threw together. Its DAM impressive considering but compared to the others...NO. Shine is the epitome of incredible though. 8. Afterwards 7. Disciplined Breakdown 6. Rabbit - In my opinion the most underrated of all CS albums. Every song is a good listen even the fillers. No LP that is THIS good should go SO unnoticed. 5. Here to Eternity - I hated it at first but have listened to it so much and appreciate how much variety of music is on it. It's a fun listen because of all the different things going on. 4. Blood - I love it. As I said above it's just plain fun. Another great last song too with Porch Swing. Before that I'd take every song on it but 1-7 is as good as I've heard CS in a long time before Blood. 3. Youth - I laughed that you hate this so much. I think 1-8 match any album they've ever done and I love Satellite at the end. 2. Collective Soul - No explanation needed. Loaded with hits and my favorite rock ballad of the 90's - The World I Know. 1. Dosage - This is the easiest listen of any CS album up to THE ONE AND CROWN but She Said at the end is the best hidden song I've heard on any album PERIOD. I put this over #2 BARELY simply because of it's variety. It's not just hard rocking like the self titled album. Heavy, No More No Less and Needs is this band at its ABSOLUTE VERY BEST! Thanks again for your list and that's the beauty of lists. Agree or disagree, they're fun. And thats what it's about. Glad to see someone is giving credit to this amazing band finally. More people need to listen to them because if they did they'd realize what they;ve been missing. What I'd like to hear is someone explain to me how and why this band is the most underrated I've ever heard. They deserve far more credit then they've ever had. PERIOD.
Collective Soul is great, and honestly even the albums I ranked low i think are still good albums over all!
Bounce and Lost Highway over New Jersey....Jesus!
Richie’s solo album is better than most of Bon Jovi collective records…. Father Time, Ballad of Youth, Stranger in this town…. It’s an amazing effort.
Blender is also probably my favorite record. So many great hits and I love the mix of pop and rock on that album. Look forward to a Skin cover on CZcams within the next month or two
Blender is brilliant imo!
You are part of the problem. This is a pathetic move because of greed. No one wants to get older but we are. find newer and younger bands like the struts, glorious sons and so on. Mammoth was a show I have seen twice now and they are great in a live setting. Don't fall for this... Also, Jons voice will never get any better. It's over people...
Nobody is forcing you to listen to older bands.... you keep on listening to Mammoth and The Struts and I'll keep on enjoying what I enjoy And BTW I like Mammoth
@@themindseyecmh your still growing old...
@@itycogswell4514 as we all are
I have both the CD and the vinyl. As you said, the CD its is black and not much to it. The record has a red design to it. I like it.
You praised/highlighted almost every song on the Slippery When Wet album and even mentioned a track that could have been a hit single if it was released (Without Love)...yet it was rated outside your top 3 and below Lost Highway!
I love way more than just Slippery
Wow. okay I do disagree with a lot of your rankings esp- stranger in this town, Blaze of glory- TWO OF THE BEST ALBUMS EVER.
Both are great even if they are low!
Silly list. Forever better than the mighty Sambora & the shitloead of Crush Nr. 1. Boing, boing - it's my life - I'm a backstreet brother - boing boing 😂
Idk why but Sister and Mary is one of the songs on here I revisited the most. Has such a happy Beatles vibe. There’s no such thing as a bad CS album but this is definitely ranks lower in comparison to their 93-2015 works. When Mother’s Love was shown as the first single, I knew right then and there that we were probably getting a very meh album. I like the song but it sounds like a B-side to all their much better lead singles in the past (pre-Blood album). These guys haven’t been great with these last few albums and I’m worried we’ll never get an album with interesting heavy guitar work like we did those first 2 decades.
These Days I would rank at number 1 with keep the faith at a very close 2nd and New Jersey at 3rd, have a nice day at 4 and crush at 5.
The power station years shouldn’t really count as an album. What about now should be at the very bottom and how did the debut end up at 19??? That was an excellent record.
I like them all except TLFR, DA, and 2020
I recall working at my desk in '95 and attempting to catch up on the last couple years of alt/alt punk music, writing down everything I heard on the radio for about two weeks and then blowing the money to get the CDs in one fell swoop. Bands like: Bush, Better Than Ezra, Goo Goo Dolls, Live, Supergrass, Bad Religion, Rancid, Everclear, Garbage, etc. Among those discs, Collective Soul's self-titled stood out, of course, and then I recalled, "Hey, this is the band that sings, 'Shine'." An "a-ha" moment. Years later, my girlfriend bought me "Dosage" but wanted me to look at the back cover first and see if I could figure out who they were. I couldn't muster a guess, as the band seemed unrecognizable, but the album knocked my socks off. Every. Single. Song. "Blender" too.
Blender and Dosage are masterpieces!
Had I not found your video, I wouldn't have known CS had a new album out. Thanks. Recently, I just got around to giving Vibrating a spin. Nice list. I'm surprised Blender is at the top. I love this album but I know it was received poorly by "critics". My top three: 3) Blender. 2) Collective Soul. 1) Dosage.
I love Vibrating! New album is pretty good, I also reviewed it if your interested!
Can't come up with ten, I only listen to music on my own and haven't listened to the radio for over twenty years so my music listening is very insular, I only hear music that I like, haha. But I can come up with a couple right off the top of my head: Pearl Jam, The Cars, Rammstein and Grateful Dead. Throw in The Band and southern rock like Lynyrd Skynyrd (that song called Freebird is such a snoozer!) and that's about it, really. But as I said, I am not familiar with some of the bands you named like Bush, that's stuff for millennials and I'm a Gen Xer, and not even American but from Scandinavia 😉 I'm not a huge Queen fan but you did proceed to name several songs that I do love by the band, lol. Pink Floyd is great, again, not a top favourite band in terms of the entire discography, but certainly an album like Wish You Were Here is in my top three of all times!
I'm a Bon Jovi fan from the olden days, got into them as a teen in 1985 so my ranking of the original studio albums will reflect that... well, for one I haven't even regularly listened to the last four records so only going to include the ones I am familiar/somewhat familiar with: Have A Nice Day (only the title track does something for me) The Circle (a few pretty good songs) Lost Highway (a couple of songs I really like, for example You Wanna Make a Memory and Whole Lotta Leaving) Crush (several great songs and I love Two Storey Town!) Bounce (this has really grown on me over the years, it's mostly enjoyable from start to finish with a couple of duds. The production should be better!) self-titled (a great debut album, still love tracks like Roulette, Shot Through the Heart, Love Lies and Burning for Love - oh yeah, and Runaway was the first song I ever heard from the band in November 1985. It came on the radio.) 'Fahrenheit' (my first Bon Jovi record on February 6, 1986. Listened to the A Side at the record store and on the strength of songs like Only Lonely and Price of Love purchased the cassette a couple of days later. Had already heard The Hardest Part Is the Night earlier...) Keep The Faith (my die-hard fandom had, well, died after 1990 when they almost broke up and there seemed to be a rift in the band but a decade later I rekindled my love for the band thanks to the internet and it was only then that I got this record. A really strong A Side, the B Side is a bit iffy but still, a classic. Dry County!!) 'Slippery' (The planets aligned in our household; the record came out and a short month or so later we got cable channels, with lots of music videos and music related shows on inter-European channels like Sky Channel and Music Box. So I became a die-hard Jovi-girl thanks to seeing the videos for 'Bad Name' and 'Prayer' 😁 SWW is a record full of nostalgia for me, it always brings me back to the fall and winter of 1986 when the band suddenly became huuuuge. And I even like Social Disease!) New Jersey (come on, it's the other of the true classics, a magnificent feat to follow a monster like SWW with something EVEN better! A bit like Pink Floyd releasing Wish You Were Here after Dark Side Of The Moon... Everything feels more substantial on NJ and it's just killer from start to finish, an epic journey into the heart of this band....) These Days (the only record that can stand side-by-side with 'Jersey' as the other classic album, and it being so different is a great thing. The title track is possibly my favorite song by the band, along with Dry County and Born to Be My Baby. Hard Letting You Go is a gorgeous deep cut!) I also love Blaze Of Glory and Stranger In This Town, less so the follow-up solo records... Thanks for making a BJ ranking video, it was fun to watch!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
i think "these days" is pretty good
These Days is amazing
