The beat board is important. But, when is the beat board used, before or after a script? And are the ACTS actually beats? I use to hate tutorials that are meticulous, some call it slow. But in the case of Final Draft, a basic tutorial is needed. My idea is a mock screenplay should be made. Slow and from scratch.

I purchased Final Draft a couple months ago and haven't started yet. During that time I was assuming basic information wasn't in they're interest. The beat board is already set up in those generic tutorials. Finally I can see the ACT BOX being created. I googled such a simple question on how to create it. Nothing! Thanks to you I already started. ♥♥♥

This software is prone to crashing...I just lost a day and a half worth of creative dialogue that I can never replicate. You'd think FD would have some autosave feature to the cloud or something. It's happened twice. I did research and on reddit etc, it's happened to others as well.

The beat bread is the very reason I bought Final Draft but still haven't learned if the Act Markers are created or not. Once I see a visual on it, then I'll learn to start. Scrivener is less complicated, I can move my work around. But it's not as important as the Final Draft beat board. To answer the question directly. I like the beat board but I need a basic explanation. ❤

The beat board is the very purpose I purchased Final Draft 13. But still haven't figured out if Act Markers are created as beats or not. And if so why isn't it at least hinted if not directly said. Scrivener is less complicated, from the start you can automatically move your work around. But I feel Final Draft is more important to learn. Unfortunately I haven't learned it and its been more then a month. I'm still using Scrivener.

I. think your tutorials are "better" then the Final Draft tutorials because they have to be economical and zip through. I purchased Final Draft 13 a month ago and still haven't learned the Outline Editor and Beat Board. I learned the Act Markers are created. Thanks! ❤
