The sad thing is, both TDKR and Watchmen were supossed to be a boost to the comic book industry. But most "creators" completely misunderstood what these books were about.

I think he was off about digital. But he was dead on about writing for young kids, making adventures, and featuring virtuous heroes. And you have to get back on the spinner racks at eye and hand level of every kids who walks into any store. You have to make exciting comics with exciting covers, with good stories that they want to read more of, at a price that allows impulse buying, and content that will not make any parent regret letting their child read it.

I can guess that most people who think this is "weird" haven't taken a sketch class. It's a pretty regularly suggested grip. Doesn't work for everybody, but some people swear by it. It's supposed to help remove some of the jitter from lines, and help make smoother curves.

Wow, this was awkward. The way he's very careful to state he likes only Sim's early work, the glances he keeps giving the cameraman; the way he looks away quickly when he's told 'Thank you' and realises he doesn't have to give an opinion on Sim's later career or socio-political views.
