Can't believe how few views for such a great song

The Wedding Present are absolutely the band who will smash up their guitars, but only after checking with the neighbours and then tidying up the mess.

It's shocking good. After so many years hearing this song, it's still moving. In a word, timeless.

Was on a low budget holiday with me other half in Iceland about 10 years ago. At breakfast turned around and it was 'The Wedding Present' sat on next table..!! Said how much I like this song. Top friendly band that need more credit...

The Wedding Present es una banda ya experimentada, así que en esta ocasión ha querido probar con otras texturas sonoras, su líder David Gedge nos presenta un trabajo que es algo así como una road movie para presentar un álbum visual que narra una historia de viaje, con títulos en cada canción que son el nombre de una localidad o ruta estadounidense, porque hasta allí se trasladada: "Santa Monica", "Interstate 5", "Bear" o la ración punk de "Secretary". Gedge canta a relaciones en tránsito durante veinte canciones que son un todo, en su conjunto. De hecho, ‘Going, Going…’ se vende en varios formatos, pero siempre acompañado de un DVD, que recoge las imágenes capturadas durante un viaje a través de EEUU por Gedge y la fotógrafa Jessica McMillan. Es un disco arriesgado, que por momentos, sobre todo por las canciones instrumentales, podemos pensar que The Wedding Present se convierte en una banda de post-rock.
