Im sure the water is very cold and salty hope they are paid extremely well...it could be irratating to their eyes and the chemicals in the water...is not good as well.

So ...as a aquatic performer myself, you can't go down as deep with a silicone tail. Yeah they look cool, but that's about it. They're not made for a true mermaid performance. Any professional mermaid performer will tell you that that's the worst tail to swim in because you can't do as many tricks. It's easy to judge from the sideline. However, if you just so happen to be the rate breed of aquatic performers who know how to get deep underwater with a silicone tail AND do tricks while at the bottom of the tank WITH that silicone tail, then kudos to you.
