With regards to the texturing possibly hindering the shaping you did, you can always make the buttresses etc in a slightly different color than the walls behind it, so you have more contrasts

for fixing lighting issues theres a server plugin to force the game to recalculate lighting called clean lighting (iirc). i haven't managed to find any client side mods which do the same though

For the doorway in, I belive there are ways to move two blocks in a door fasion, so you could do that on both sides and leave the middle pillar?

Yo that is such an amazing building, looking at it feels like looking at art from the renaissance. I wonder how it looks, if you would connect the broken parts of the bridge with simple wooden constructions, so it loos like they tried to fix it but gave up after some time because a.e the pillars started to move and they lost all hopes they ever would be able to rebuild the bridge.

you can have the door drop you down under it, then spit you out using slime so that you can immediately fly through under the mountain, I think that could work and would be very fun

the bridge could lead to an old ruined castle also you can check mumbo jumbo's doors, if i remember correct there is a 5 wide one which is vertically expandable
