    What belt are you using with the multi use strap in the video?

    • @firefightertdc

      @@Swirlydread730 In the video I am using the Cheyenne belt. As mentioned, it is for over the coat. I had initially purchased it so I could use it with pants that did not have loops and simply put it on over the coat. However, having a belt dedicated to your turnout pants is far quicker in my opinion if you have one dedicated to you. For some departments that can't issue belts to each member, it may be best to issue belts like the Comanche or Mohawk that can fit a range of people and be assigned to a riding position. Another consideration is to have one ring or two. The Cheyenne has two rings so you have a center attachment point for the MUStrap for example. A second ring is to allow the escape kit to remain attached in my pocket and connected to the belt. When I need to deploy, I simply swing the ring forward if I have a moment. If not, simply hook the sill and go. Two rings/attachment points does take up slightly more room under the coat. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

      For this harness, you simply pull the bunker pants up like normal and clip 1 buckle. I can take a video and send/share it when I have a moment if you would like.

    It the light kit waterproof?

    • @firefightertdc
      @firefightertdc Před 3 měsíci

      Hello, In the paperwork I have, it states resistant. This is not the ATEX rated version. If you would like me to check with a manufacturer rep, I would be glad to.

    • @motor2of7
      @motor2of7 Před 3 měsíci

      @@firefightertdc I’m not familiar with the ATEX rating….can you explain. I’m trying to put together a SAR helmet that can be used on land and in water rescue without having to reconfigure it for different missions. I like the integrated light, especially since it uses AA batteries, which aligns with the rest of my gear, but I don’t want to have to take it off when I work boats vs land ops.

    hi. What size is your bag? I went with the smaller size because I thought the larger one would end up being too heavy to carry if I loaded it up.

    • @firefightertdc
      @firefightertdc Před 9 měsíci

      I have the smaller 54 L and it works great for a general system bag. I have quite a bit of gear in it now. I would be concerned with the larger bag being too heavy and bulky as well. Overall, I think the 54 is the better size for a "system" bag.
