When you realize this movie and song is loosely based on Janis Joplin's life, it makes it that much more tragic and sad.

This is actually like historic. Before cellphone cameras, the internet. Before crap music, I mean rap music. When rock n roll was still dangerous and underground, and musicians actually played their instruments and wrote songs. I'll always remember Lou Reed and listen to and even play his songs.
