I tested the triac in my ceiling fan's receiver since the fan works but the lights (which are controlled by this triac) don't turn on. On the continuity setting, it's showing a value of 170 between the outer pins (A1 and G). Does that mean that my triac is bad or is 170 an acceptable value? The triac I have is BTA08-600B.

What is U1 component known as

Could be caused by blacklist of the user. Somehow the Windows fixes the crap boards without using any instruments or takeapart. Possibly the fix happens offline, and a satellite loads the drivers into the chips. To start such a fix, months wait is needed and it depends on the brand. For example Asus gets fixed first, Acer is fixed much later.

Radioactive power banks fix capacitors. I fixed 2 Nokia phones by placing the phone on the heavy power bank, the battery panel becomes hot, the phone wil be cold at full load. Also the method fixes other power banks. It needs 3 days to take effect. Laptops also have this feature, I am still testing it. The result is, the battery offloads the device, and the battery's panel will be hot, the devie will be cold. The middle connections must be clean. If not, the battery will be too hot.
