I read about this ages ago, and have wanted to see its solution ever since, so thanks for making this video! Reading about it, I've seen a few mentions of finding the angel's "heart" and photos do show an additional heart-shaped piece. In a similar way to the Lotus Box not being fully finished when it appears to be finished, was there something else in there? Physically in the angel itself?

This exact thing happens to mine. I kept it in the box after it was shipped, but didn’t open it ‘til later. It fell open in my hand and the pin is missing. So, it was not the best thing I’ve ordered from Art Of Play. Still Love the site, though

There's something more to this that you missed - took me a wile to realise but there's another semi-circular moving part in the lock body that is gravity activated - caught me out for a while. I can't believe how much Louis Coolen has fitted in these locks - I've done 2015 and 2016 now and about to start 2017 lock. On a side note - Your Ansel puzzle is a thing of absolute beauty - took me ages to solve it the first time - it's a work of art!

Thanks. These are expensive so it was good to watch your video, I hadn’t seen one of these before but it came up as a suggested purchase on Amazon. I was expecting a little porcelain cat to be inside for some reason but there wasn’t anything really. Really interesting, not sure I would have been able to solve it if I’d bought one.If the price goes down I might get one.

Everyone I've seen solve this puzzle did it by spinning. . . but you absolutely do not need to spin the puzzle, ever, in order to unlock it. All you have to do is hold it flat and gently tilt it right and left while listening for the pins to shift. It's faster, more reliable, and more friendly to the puzzle than spinning.
