how to make seashell flowers with mussel shells
Do you ever wonder what you could make with all the mussel shells you find on the beach or possibly while eating mussels at a restaurant? Then I have a cute seashell craft idea for you! Why not turn them into mussel shell flowers that look like proteas or artichokes?
This didn’t cost me anything since the stick was found in my yard, the seashells were found on the beach, and I already had the bleach and glue.
These mussel shell flowers make great gifts year-round and are also easy and fun to make.

Supplies needed for mussel shell flowers:
▶︎ mussel shells in various sizes
▶︎ bleach and bleach-safe container
▶︎ water
▶︎ strainer
▶︎ seashell glue amzn.to/4cX9dSz or hot glue gun and glue (I tested both and prefer the hot glue)
▶︎ tweezers
▶︎ wooden stick or driftwood (I found my sticks in our yard and they are around the size of my pinky)
▶︎ clear varnish like polycrylic (optional) amzn.to/4cHPAyb

This is really cute!! I am a visual learner and it is extremely difficult to see anything with the black cord. I understand bats are black but for instruction purposes I wish you would have used a different color so your audience could see the knots. Thank you though for the tutorial

You can use anything you'd like to try. It just won't give you the same look, texture, and feel

I really liked the pattern so wanted to make it. It was a miserable struggle to see your hands to fully understand your directions because you were going at super sonic speed. Even on 1/4 speed you were still going way beyond normal speed. I couldn't even hit the pause button fast enough to be on the spot i needed to see again. This was not fun.

I wish the stretchy stuff was still sold. I bought a bench I’m refinishing and the back has these teeny tiny little spindles. It’s going to take forever to sand them. That would have been fantastic to speed things up.
