Hello there! This channel is still a work in progress. For the main thing, it's intended to help me build up self-confidence and speaking skills. I need to kick the habit of mumbling. Anyway, on this channel, you will primarily find a rotating schedule of three things: melodramatic readings of Famous Poems, then readings of My Poetry, and finally, readings of my Short Fiction. Longer pieces will probably stretch across multiple videos. Stay awhile, and listen!

Love your #2 pick!! And you gotta see the 70s version of Gatsby! It's so good.
I have a bootleg somewhere!
3 great poems by three amazing poets!!
Have you got any recommendations for adding background music?
I can't hear the name Jay Gatsby without picturing Leo DiCaprio now! Not that that's a bad thing..... First time I read the book, I had him pictured kinda like Leo anyway.
Here's to you, old sport!
amazing readings!
Wow Eliott and Blush!! 🖤 And The Great Gatsby is my favorite book!! I can't wait for tomorrow's read!
Loved it! And 'dis my new channel, so I can interact as GlamCat. :)
Yayyy!!!
Excellent video! The poem reminds me of the first verse of the song "Take a Walk on the Wild Side" by Lou Reed. 🙂
Whoa, does it really? I was just listening to Lou Reed. He was on a playlist Kathleen curated for me and El!
@@twodegreesofbyron1073 "Holly came from Miami, F.L.A. Hitch-hiked her way across the U.S.A. Plucked her eyebrows on the way Shaved her legs and then he was a she She says, "Hey, babe Take a walk on the wild side"
@@musicianonamission8435 Whoa!
"Do not stand at my grave and weep" reminds me so much of my aunt. We had a very simple graveside service for her, because that's what she would have wanted. She never wanted any attention or recognition. I kept expecting her to come up beside me and say "darling, don't cry, I'm with Jesus now." And she is, but she's also here, because my uncle brought everything she owned to me. It's bittersweet for sure.
I feel like that’s what my grandma would say too

Bringing written words to life is classy, and some people just don't want class in their life. But I've always heard that you're not truly an "artist" (writer, orator) until you're misunderstood. Keep doing you, brother.
Great job!!
Even though I'll always be partial to the plight of poor Prufrock, I think you did a great reading on everything!
Do you think I should keep reading more from Quest for the Relics?
@@twodegreesofbyron1073 Yes, definitely!
Thank you for reading "The Lady of Shallot." 🖤
Of course! I think tomorrow I’m going to do Prufrock
@@twodegreesofbyron1073 I love that one too. It has a similar theme as "Lady of Shallot," where they're miserably watching people have fun at a distance. Have you heard the song "If I Die Young?" It was based on "Lady of Shallot."
@@musicianonamission8435 you mean the one by The Band Perry?
@@twodegreesofbyron1073 Yes, and country isn't even my thing lol.
@@musicianonamission8435 Ohhhh, I never knew that was based on Shallot!
My past teenage self identifies with Connie so hard. That was gripping and familiar. And thank you for reading " The Road Not Taken!"
Did you like the surprise of of William Carlos Williams too?
@@twodegreesofbyron1073 Yes! I'm not as familiar with his works, but I enjoyed your reading of him too!
Yayyyyyy!!!! 🖤🖤🖤
Part 2 is today. I didn’t get to finish last night.
@@twodegreesofbyron1073 I found the story and I'm following along.... I won't finish reading until you post your video.
@@musicianonamission8435 ok! It’ll be up later tonight. I’m not entirely sure what else I’ll post besides pt 2. Any requests?
@@twodegreesofbyron1073 Hmm, "The Road Not Taken" maybe? You should ask everyone on Spacehey for suggestions!
@@musicianonamission8435 good idea! I have talked to Blush Puppy and Dark Entries about dramatizing their stuff!
Hi, hello, I'm here to see you be ridiculous. 🖐️ Great, as always! And thanks for the shout-out!
Both of these poems have an "eat, sleep, and be merry for tomorrow we die" sense about them. They go together so well. Can't wait for Joyce Carol Oates tomorrow! 🖤
Actually I was planning on doing some of my poetry tomorrow, would you like me to change that?
Omg, I legit thought tomorrow was Friday. Now I'm excited for both days!!
@@musicianonamission8435 💘💝💟
This reminds me of Hebrews 13:2 - "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing so some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it."
Indeed!
"packed up and moving on / perhaps I'll come back in July / to see where we stand / if we're standing at all" <-- love that!! You've got me considering posting some of my poetry on my SpHy blog. 🙂
Have you thought about uploading some of your fiction as an audiobook on youtube?
No, actually. I didn't think I had the voice actor talent to do it.
First
Oh, you!
@@twodegreesofbyron1073 yes it is I! :D
You're a great storyteller Byron!
Aw, thanks! Have you read anything from my blog?
You oughta get some bongos to go with that beat poetry!
LMAO, maybe there's a sound effect for that?
