I was doing all this in the midc60' s in Leicester at the Nidgjt Owl with Owlin Robin. Horsehair Road I believe. It was really tight fashion then. But noone will recognise the magic now. It was unbelievable!

That is not the E Street behind her, This is an absolutely brilliant live performance. The sax player is doing a great take on Clarence's part. The little arm movement's at the end are so Ronnie. Lady Gaga could try and try and never do that right.

I never realized wire recorders recorded music! Usually the fidelity was so poor that it was only used for speech or computer data code.
I've read somewhere that this is Joe himself speaking, and made the recording at a higher pitch so that it would sound like a female secretary
So many rumours it's hard to tell which are true and which aren't. First I've heard of this though, personally, I doubt it.

The distinct guitar style of Ritchie Blackmoore can be heard on many of these recordings. And Space Oddity by David Bowie isa total tribute to Joe Meek. And You Tube survives on videos of people talking to cats and cats talking back.

Many people did. Doc makers said they had problems getting licenses to use music in it. Seems like they've given up, that was years ago.

@@paulplacid581 Thanks for the thanks !. I have little left now of unreleased Meek stuff, but I will get around to uploading it soon, including the 'Joe Meek Speaks' second tape. I've been holding off while the 'reworked' tea chest recordings are being released. Personally I'm a bit wary about how much 'reworking' has been applied to these, taking away some of the authenticity imo. I also have another channel which I'm uploading mainly live non-Meek recordings that I have recorded at various London venues. I will get around to uploading the rest of the Meek stuff soon though.
