i played a lot of online in this game and its been really fun in the first couple weeks after release but eventually the only people that were left were the ones that reliably could keep their blue flame alive for all 3 rounds so i just moved on from the game. feel like the game should have had more casual friendly features so casuals have fun playing online. its tough having fun when you constantly get rolled by good players. ctr is the best kart racer by far imo but because the skill ceiling is so high, casuals stick to mario kart.

roughly a year and a few recent upgrades later, many of the criticisms expressed in this vid about the game are still very applicable. The online matching is still trash and upgrading characters are way too convoluted, expensive, and overly grindey. If you have a group of friends to play private matches with, it's a much more fun experience.

Your driving skills have really evolved. Back then you were rusty with the game, but now you were playing it like a pro player

Playing this game online is extremely frustrating. The races will literally take a long time to start sometimes. It will just say “waiting for other players” for more than several + minutes at a time. 😩 When the online race is about to begin it will fail to start the race and then we have to go back and wait another minute for a new race to begin. 😩 You barely earn any wumpa coins to buy stuff. 😠 The loading times are bad. 🥱😴 You have to be online just to buy stuff from the Pit Stop which is ridiculous. You should be able to do that offline. 😠☝🏾 Also I’m kinda grumpy that I spent over an hour + looking for those special crates to unlock the Beenox Crate character and in the end it was all for nothing because it never got unlocked when I found them all. This game has some serious issues but it is still fun.
