I ordered the YOTON MP3 Player YM03 from Amazon Germany on February 5, 2024, which was delivered a few days later.
I am very impressed by the features of this player: small, light, easy to pair, plays my MP3 files without any problems. I was happy to have it in my hands and to be able to play my audio books with it.
BUT there is a serious software problem which has rendered the device inoperable after only 2 hours of use.
The problem cannot be solved by a RESET. I am currently waiting until the battery is completely empty in the hope that the device can be restored to a functional state when it is recharged. If this also fails, I will return the device.
I will describe the steps here on how to reproduce the error (firmware version: YOTON-YM03 V3.2.0.8-J):
1. charge the device to 100% battery
2. upload MP3 files
3. connect Bluetooth 5.0 headphones
4. play playlist
5. press the pause button
6. wait until the device goes into sleep mode
7. wait another 5 minutes
8. press the play button
Expected result: The device plays the current MP3 track
Actual result: The device displays the folder icon of the menu, but can no longer be operated using the buttons.
After 20 seconds the screensaver screen is displayed (date/time display), after a further 30 seconds the device goes into sleep mode again.
The device can be woken up using the play button, but then remains "stuck" in the folder icon of the menu.
After switching the device OFF and ON, nothing changes in its behavior - it remains inoperable.

Could you send me a short video showing the problem you encountered?
And I would be happy to send you a firmware to solve the problem.
Unzip the file and copy the hexadecimal file directly to the SD card, then look for the update function in the settings.
After successful update, the firmware version will be V3.2.0.6.J.

thanks for your feedback.
I have downloaded the new firmware and copied it to the device. But I can't run the upgrade function on the device because the device is blocked. After switching on, but also after a RESET, the device is always in the same menu, which cannot be navigated with the buttons. So I am not able to do anything on the device.
I have uploaded a short video of the behavior on CZcams. Here you can see exactly what I mean when I say that the device is not operable.
Is there anything else I can do?

We have another update way, which requires the computer and an software. That may be too trouble for you.

great news: The package arrived yesterday at noon - I love Amazon Prime shipping ;)
The MP3 player works as expected straight away. I already sent my Amazon review yesterday - and of course the positive retailer rating for Premium Support.
It has the same firmware installed as my first model (YOTON-YM03 V3.2.0.8-J). I haven't connected my Bluetooth headphones yet because I'm afraid of getting the same error condition.
What do your developers advise? Should I downgrade to the firmware version V3.2.0.6.J supplied by you?
