If I’m not using LOG I’ll try the normal picture profile or HLG for a bit more dynamic range. Depends what you’re going for with the end product :)

I sold my ace pro 😅 planning to make a video about that soon. Bought the Osmo action 4 instead and have been much happier! The close focus issue was real and it annoyed me too much. Plus there’s no 10bit 🥲

@babyboy1971 the ace pro is definitely better. But honestly I was barely using my action cam at night. I use it for POV stuff for CZcams which I usually shoot during the day, and for FPV stuff which is definitely during the day haha

The idea was to have the same settings and expose for the skin/shadows as this is easy to do with LOG. To be fair I did show how if you reduce the iso you get a better balance but it’s still not as good as with LOG ☺️

Thanks! It should stay on but depending on how hard you fall and how hard the camera hits the floor, there’s always a risk of it coming off. It’s very secure though when I flew it around on my FPV drone at top speed it stayed on no problem

It’s not been that way with my experience but maybe yours is different. I did just have my guards fall off my camera recently though so that’s another problem lol

It’s still a fun drone for sure! Love how fast it goes and the noise is awesome 🤩 definitely get an action cam mount it makes a huge difference to have that camera quality on board!

There’s a rubber soft box dome included with the light but as for bowens mount style attachment no there’s not. Could set up some diffusion in front of it I suppose though like a muslin cloth

@@Markchristiankc I see, rigging out diffusion seems to defeat the purpose of it being so light/portable though. Of all the compact/portable options available, I still think the little Godox light modifiers seem the best - shame the mount is proprietary. But even their smallest lights can become reasonable fill if not key lights thanks to compact soft boxes. With 15W, this could make a very reasonable fill light or even key light with modern full frame cameras, but not without a soft box. I wish they thought of this. Also, a honeycomb on that size light? - seems a bit pointless.

@DigiDriftZone surprisingly the honeycomb does make a difference so I wouldn’t say it’s pointless but I do get your point cuz it’s already so small. It would be nice to have a soft box but I think that’s where their zhiyun Molus x100 comes into play because that has a tiny soft box and a bowens mount adapter. Of course that light is $270 so. I think for $69 it’s kind of fair enough that it’s not the most versatile, but I agree it would have been awesome if we could’ve put a small soft box on the cm15

@@Markchristiankc Those are Bowens though that require a separate bulky/heavy adapter for the x100 - again in my opinion taking a lot away from the compact/light nature of their products. I wish they had their own compact mount for lighter modifiers that you could interchange between their different compact lights. One can dream :) Imagine one of these, with a proprietary mount on the front so you can attach a very light 40cm softbox for your fill and then an x100 with a small 60cm softbox for your key - without additional heavy adaptors and dealing with bowens, that would be brilliant!

The x100 does have a proprietary mount for a soft box :) it’s on their site. So the dream is alive 😄

True you have to use the app for it. I was mainly looking at it from a ‘just using the gimbal’ standpoint. But you are correct. Though the Feiyutech Scorp Mini 2 would still win this category

Happy to help man! AF-C is for continuous auto focus. AF-S is single. Use AF-C. As for what mode to use yeah try wide but if you’re finding you’re wanting someone in a specific zone of your frame use the zone mode

I was lucky enough to get one at a discount (from a local place, not from Lumix) so i paid around £1300 which was easier to stomach haha. I do agree. Lumix did this to themselves by making the s5ii 2000. If they made it 2500 then a 1500 s9 wouldn’t be so wild.

U can buy Leica Q3, it full frame and better than 100vi for shure!

Congrats on the upgrade! So I think there’s two things you could do. First try sticking to single area af so you only have whatever is in the box as in focus. Then two, in the focusing settings make the sensitivity and focus speed much slower. That should help it not switch focus all over the place. If you’re finding it still too fast manual focus may be the way to go in some instances :)

That’s true but you can assign the custom button to lock all buttons like with the S5ii. I’ve just been making sure I’m careful not to spin the dial cuz it’s set to my shutter angle at the moment 😅

Oh yeah definitely a great video camera and it’s fine for photo during the day 😂. I personally don’t mind I get it the lenses are big on such a small body but I don’t mind it too much 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m excited to put some oversized lenses on this thing 😂

@@lfcruzsierra I'm totally down for it. Technically only thing from theoretical downside is the lack of shutter. I've got the S5IIx and the readout speed is not great, so for photography I see lack of that + EVF. Do you use it primarily for photos or videos?

I prefer the flexibility as I can change my field of view with the 360 recording, but with me mode the framing you saw in the video is what you get! No wider and no closer. Processing in insta360 studio doesn’t affect image quality at all in ☺️

@@Markchristiankc oh i see, MeMode is not full 360 then. In 360 footage though , if you DeepTrack and zoom in there will be some detail degradation i guess. So best if you keep yourself as close as you wish right from the beginning in any case.
