Mike's VHS Treasures
Registrace 19. 08. 2013
In the summer of 1994, I got a VCR for my birthday. For the next several years, I would record various sporting events (especially hockey games), TV specials and music videos - recently, I've unearthed a vast amount of these VHS tapes, so my plan is to upload any clips that I find interesting (and that may not already be on CZcams).

Gretzky wasn't as good as Orr or Mario.
The Wings seem to have gone from boom to bust... really.
2:43:32 Mike Emerick calling the moment the Devils win the Cup
Wow, James Brown
What's the 8850 stands for?
30:33 made me wanna look up *Robbie Ftorek.* Oy! Not Babcock levels but what a tool 🙄
No more rats he said after he let the 2nd goal in game 3.
Was at this game too. Thx for making this and great job editing commercials, I almost expected to see that blurry vhs line sometimes, lol.
Almost 30 years later. I still remember watching this go in. As a Nordiques fan... 10 years old... That run to the finals I was going crazy for every goal, every win... but this goal I sat there and stared in silence. Staring at the TV. Being in flow. Knowing to take it all in. Pure joy.
I need more of these.. can't find many.
He ends the interview with ‘I want to see you in that swimsuit issue’. Gross
Was at games 1 & 2 here, nothing like a SCF game!
Even in his final season Gretzky's 53 assists tied for sixth in the league.🇨🇦🏒
1:29:50 Flyers Goal 2-2
18:35 Flyers Goal 1-1
Lousy parents. Dumped in a convent school as a baby girl. Heartless, not Hartley.
This is one of the best sports commercials of all time. I'm glad to have grown up in this era
Let’s not forget something that gets overlooked CONSTANTLY The Oilers won the cup in 4 out of 5 years….the reason for the missing 5th year was Oilers Defenseman Steve Smith scoring into his own net in Game 7 of the conference finals Would have whitewashed Montreal in the finals
I was at that game.. of all the SOG and that one gets through.
The Devils threw and took more hits in this game than the current Devils team did all year. What a disaster of wimpiness my beloved Devils have become.
Gretzky's game resembled that of a chess master on ice hockey skates!🇨🇦🏒
😂😂😂😂😂
a Standing ovation in his homecoming wasn't even enough to keep pretty boy Gretzky in St Louis lol
"In the last game against Detroit, the time from ten minutes left to one minute left was probably the longest nine minutes of my life. But from one to zero was probably the greatest time I've ever had. I didn't want the clock to run out. It was such a great feeling: people crying in the stands, people jumping up and down, people cheering. Guys couldn't even sit up on the bench. It was probably the best minute of my life." - Martin Brodeur
E pensare che io comprai le bermuda di agassi 😅
Hextal what a bad goal let up we were better
So-Called "Vivien Leigh" wasn't even her real name. She was born Vivian Mary Hartley . She obviously sold-out her birth name to the greedy & deceitful 'Hollywood' and anticipation of greater recognition & money. It also implies parental & heritage disrespect.
Teri Hatcher was awesome in this 1995 commercial!!
THESE IDIOTS DON'T KNOW THE GAME. BOBBY ORR IS THE GREATEST HOCKEY PLAYER OF ALL TIME.
Bring back the Nordiques, Whalers, Thrashers and Coyotes.
37:21 im almost positive the great doc emrick instead of saying shift change he said SH%T change 🤣
worst stanley cup finals of last 30 years
Way before the rebut of Battlestar Galactic, I use to love watching the TV Series, it would great if they rebut as well.
Like a Jackass in a hail storm. -Being in a blow out.
Great start shame the board didn’t have the intelligence to keep it going
That commercial use to Crack me up!
That glowing puck is more fucking distracting than useful. It'd be even worse on a 14" CRT.
The Young Guns were too big, too fast and too strong for the Flyers! Holik, Rolston, Guerin! Broten huge upgrade at Center over Bernie Nichols who couldn’t deliver against the Rangers the year prior is a very underrated signing! Niedermayer controlling the game with his super speed and smooth skating! Chambers brought that stability on defense they didn’t have the season prior! No Superstars on this team but they had a lot of stars ⭐️ some most of the hockey world slept on like a young Billy Guerin, young Brian Rolston, Randy McKay playing like a top 6 forward, Stevens, Daneyko being the alphas and shutting shyt down, Richer, Lemieux, Broten, MacLean! An injured Zelepukin! Imagine if he was healthy? More scoring threat and power but Jim Dowd made us not miss Zelepukin at all!

Bowman cleaned house that summer after the final. Goodbye Dino, Burr, Coffey, Shepard etc, Hello Russian 5, Shanahan and Stanley Cups. Sometimes you have to lose bitterly to find a better way to have a sweet win.
I was there
Wayne went to High School in Indiana. First at Carmel High School in Carmel Indiana but they wouldn’t allow for any adjustment to his school schedule for his minor league hockey schedule. He transferred to Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis which did grant him a lot of leniency in adjusting his schedule so he could play minor league hockey while still in high school. He was amazing at a young age. I went to Carmel HS when he was there in the same grade as me. I never knew he was there till years later. Crazy huh?
See how much cooler life was back then look at the opening commercial that was epic. Amazing
Dude thanks for all this nostalgia!! Can't wait to go through some of these blues games on here..oh baby!
Ron Francis was 33 and looked 48.
Did you win?
thanks Mike it was a nice memory come back alive
