you can see how marilyn monroe's make up was done like Marlinas. I read that is what she told her make up artist, to make up her face like Marlinas. They kinda look a like too for that reason maybe.
in this clip I can dietrich smiling thinking about the gown should plunge in the front and should have color I sense she did not enjoy the act of mourning the loss of a loved one she wanted to be happy
little jane wyman who got tooooo big for her sling backs here in the threat of the volcano of deitrich ...her brilliance her humanity ,,these little up shot nonsense like ms wyman ... she discredired Marilyn at every turn ,,ha haaa ,,,,ur only falcon crest , marlene lives in my heart....and in a very sneakt way as does Marilyn............
@foreo in life and was able to redirect her attentions elsewhere much to the benefit of herself and others. And while your lecherous hero was stalking Hedren he shaped the Connery character as a predator who practiced false empathy and dime store psychology on the Hedren character and then proceeded to rape her. A case of life imitating art??
@foreo My comment re Marnie was in response to your superlative filled comment re your boy Hitchcock, and not directly related to Stage Fright. I thought I made that clear. As for Hedren, the fact is she stood up for herself against that disgusting troll and lost whatever film career she might have had because he prevented her from working during the run of her contract. What she "owes" the turd is the down period during which she was forced to take a step back to re-evaluate her direction CTD
@spagandtuna I will agree to disagree with you on this one as I KNOW I will disagree strongly on your opinions on 'Marnie' (though I'm still unsure of its relevance to the merits of Stage Fright) which I think is even more misunderstood. I will say I have met Tippi Hedren (quite recently) and she still maintains she owes a great debt to Hitchcock - regardless of whatever happened (or didn't) on the set. Personally I always go on the merits of the film over the actions of its creators anyway.
@f Simply because in the absence of any other clues or data for the viewer to consider, he is held prisoner by this device. If this technique was but one of the factors for the viewer to consider I'd say, o.k., but here you have a captive audience of a single-focused presentation in a mystery, lots of luck enjoying the ride on that one. With respect to Marnie, Hitchcock's construction of the Connery character is shameful as was his real life behavior toward Hedren both while and after filming.
@spagandtuna Why? When a character in a film relays events as they happened, why is it a petty trick when the film-maker visualises the events as the character describes them? WHY is it cheating to show the lie as it's described? The point is the flashback is being described by a liar and the audience are lied to as well. So when all is revealed at the end we realise the trick! And I don't understand the relevance of making comments on his "behavior around the film Marnie". Please elaborate.
@foreo This is exactly what I'm referring to. And I have to disagree with you. I think a "lying flashback" is one of the devices viewers have every right to discount right off the bat, it seems so petty a trick that the use of one really doesn't speak well for the filmmaker, in my opinion. As far as your lauditory comments on Hitch, please comment on his behavior around the film Marnie, which I believe was reprehensible.
She was marvelous of course. But she was a b****.🤣

Well acted but dishonest movie that rightfully earned the scorn of critics.
Please oblige with full movie.
*ты смешной дурачок.*
Marlene Dietrich has overplayed everyone in this film, but maybe it was meant so by the director
