Lysergic Dream is an Italian Pink Floyd Tribute Band from Sulmona (Abruzzo)
Pink Floyd - Dogs "Dry" solo with Amplitube 3
This is my take on the spectacular Dogs "Dry" solo from the Animals album. This was recorded with my Fender Custom Shop Ancho Poblano Relic Strat, straight into a Tascam US-4x4 sound card. Backing track was downloaded from www.gilmourish.com. Due to the fact that the backing track was 2 semitones higher than the original, i recorded my solo with the typical EADGBE tuning and post-transposed to the original pitch through Cubase SX. You'll hear some "warbling" artifacts due to the pitch conversion.
Original solo was recorded with a Telecaster tuned in D.
Amplitube gives a good approximation of the Gilmour tone. I hope you'll enjoy.

Okay look, I'm being for real here, this is the best cover of ANY song I've heard before, I usually find covers to be pretty much "unenjoyable", but THIS time, it's actually good for once. If you guys ever see this comment, I just wanna say that you guys all play your instruments very very well, and your voice is absolutely golden man, don't give up and keep going 👍

the singer didn't turn me off like some other covers i have heard, but the band seems a bit too mechanical. some songs just need to be played with feeling.
Nice! Nailed it! Really nice to hear your interpretation, which brings out things I'm normally not noticing due to familiarity with the original, the voicing on the keyboards, for one thing. Great lead guitar tone, but perhaps a tiny bit dry? Maybe a bit more reverb needed? Shows how good your cover is: I can only nitpick way out in the weeds!
