Black Lake has been AMAZING for us over the past few years! My dad and I have won it the last 3 times we fished and my dad has won it the last 4! hahhah he fished with someone else 3 years ago...I couldn't believe that we caught those 3 hogs that day!

We used to camp at Camp Carol almost 15-20 years ago and the North end we know quite a bit...spots have been shifting where you catch fish and stinky rock has been a beast! I watched a few of your videos from black lake this morning! awesome! love it when people share and explore! great fishing and best wishes this year!

@@dominicaltavilla1414 hell yeah! Good luck. It’s on the north end of the lake (go past the bridge if you launch at the main boat ramp) about half way to the other end on the right. It has 3 bouys around it. It will be underwater now.

@@drluketheduke1531 Recovery is going well thanks. I wanted to take it easy or else I would have driven to the north end of the midway. I mainly fished some bouys near Elizabeth Island. I tried most everything, but managed every catch from the bottom.

Brandy brook! We used to camp when they had those shacks on the water back like 30+ years ago! last year we won in that spot with big bass, and the year before we got 2nd and big bass! This year, I think if we would've caught that frog miss, we would've had 2nd! We do have some spots in Wanakena - but those spots are a bit too far for our boat! How about you?

@@drluketheduke1531 no problem. Happy to help. If you already liked AutoBoat you will love it even more when you use gps features. The gps features work best when motor is mounted on the bow of boat. When mounted on stern of boat you can only really use limited features like anchor mode and steering. Navpoint heading mode and route follow modes don’t work when motor is mounted on stern. Also a pro tip is to go into free AutoBoat app and in settings turn on “stern mount mode”….this makes your steering intuitive instead of inverted while transom mounted. ~ AutoBoat Co-Owner

Thanks for the comment! The main reason I got it was for my dad, so he doesn't have to keep reaching backwards to control the trolling motor. So far it is working great for him. Not sure how much we will use the GPS auto pilot. Do you have a setup on your boat? I'm curious to know if you like it or not. Thanks for the support!

Yes if you dont have the GPS puck faced the correct direction the unit will make the boat move in a random direction very fast when you press the anchor button.

You are so welcome! This will work perfectly for my dad! We did try and rotate the trolling motor all the way around but the prop was hitting the bottom of the boat - we could lower it, but there are times when the water is too shallow and we couldn't. Also, the one main thing I did notice was reading the manual or instruction manual or even scanning the manual that came with it, we couldn't find an easy video about the correct way to install it. That is why we messed up - we never saw anything about screwing it down anywhere - did we miss that? Other than that - awesome product!

@@drluketheduke1531 the gps was mounted backwards on shaft as well. So your gps won’t be accurate and will be erratic behavior. GPS needs to be rotated 180 degrees on the shaft. The blue arrow on gps should align with direction of propulsion travel.
