Fully agree with your thoughts on Beck Ray and Chris Wreh against South Shields, playing free flowing attacking football with masses of confidence. I said at the time that Beck Ray could be a very shrewd buy for the club moving forward and this is now coming to fruition. Hats off to the manager for finally landing his man. Yes, the team will struggle next year but success will be based on staying up. Player of the Season for me would have been JJ if he had stayed, but now it will have to be either Jas for his clean sheets, or Ben who has led the team well and been sorely missed when he is not there. Well done boys, keep it going next year including pre season with up to date player and squad news.

It's been absolutely belting this season. Andy Peaks is a genius and he's giving us 2 more years. What a team they've been over the last 2 seasons!!!

Well deserved over the whole season, as the table reflects the consistency in what is a difficult "dog eat dog" league. The majority of the teams have had purple patches at some point, but too many bad results, whereas Tamworth have had an amazing number of clean sheets and narrow victories which have set them apart. Credit must go to the Management team, but the players have pulled so well together and worked hard for each other every week. We will struggle in the National League, but with a couple of quality signings, including a striker, and another box to box midfield engine room we should survive. With regards to South Shields it has draw written all over it. Well done to you guys with the podcast, which is always a good listen.

I am not proud to have predicted that Tamworth would lose against Chorley and Brackley during the run in to the end of the season, but after viewing the fixtures they were the two stand out games against two strong home teams. On the plus side Chorley still have to visit Kings Lynn on Tuesday which will be a difficult game for them, even if they are still in the running by then. The penalty save against Bishops Stortford turned the game after a poor start, as it lifted both the crowd and the team.The second half was a great watch with a well balanced attack supported by the midfield. Beck Ray looked really quick and dangerous when he came on and he deserves his chance to progress. Well done to Andy and all the backroom team for a great effort.

Think Jas is right up there, but I think it's got to be Belford

The Kings Lynn game was a fair result as they looked the most likely to score, especially in the second half. Tamworth need to win well against Bishops Stortford on Friday to gain some momentum for the last few games and hope that Kings Lynn help us out. However, I listened to the Spennymoor v Scunthorpe game on Durham Radio and Scunthorpe were very unlucky to lose on the run of play after having a goal disallowed controversially, and they hit the woodwork twice. Scoring goals is still the issue for Tamworth, although it is accepted that the injuries to defenders causes a more pressing issue, hence the signing. Tamworth must attack from the first minute and should win by at least two clear goals. However, I predicted earlier in the season that Tamworth would lose to Chorley and Brackley away and my feelings have not changed. For me Warrington is the key game of the season.

In my opinion Tamworth played well in the first half against Gloucester, kicking with the wind, but we just did not put it in the net. Some of the inter play and working off the ball was first class. However, in the second half against the wind, Gloucester scored and then could have easily scored again in a good fifteen minute spell, but once Tamworth equalised thanks to a great goal by Ben Milnes it was one way traffic again. Chester will bring 2,000 fans on Saturday which will make the game interesting, as it may feel like an away game? Kings Lynn are also in a good vein of form at the moment, so I think both games will be drawn.

Tamworth played with great freedom last week which resulted in the good win. It was great to see two strikers working well together up front for a change. The new signing should help with assists and he could just be a shrewd signing for the run in to the title. We should not get beat by Scarborough as they are on a very poor run but they will not be a push over. [ 1-2 ] Gloucester may be quite tough on a cold Tuesday night as Mike Cook has finally got a full squad to pick from after suffering many injuries since his arrival, but we should still have enough to win this one. [ 1-3 ] Keep it going lads!

Only just found the podcast, great listen! Listening after the 3-1 against Blyth yesterday and it was great to see how well we looked going forward at times. There were moments we didn't feel in control with a potential comeback on but overall a great performance. Could have easily been 4 or 5 goals. Let's hope we continue with that momentum!

To be fair, you do need luck to win the league and over the last few months Tamworth have had their fair share of both good and bad, especially with injuries. Ironically, we played really well against Chorley and lost by a single goal, mainly due to poor finishing. On Saturday, give credit to Curzon Ashton, who are a decent form team who played well when Tamworth did not, and to be fair a point was the least Curzon Ashton deserved on the day. The stark truth is that there was nobody in midfield commanding the ball and driving the game for Tamworth. The only playmaker / dynamo was Kyle Finn, who spends all of his time on or cutting in from the wing. Could he not play a more central role in behind the front players and push Chris Wreh out on the right wing? Great listen guys, keep believing.

Over the previous couple of months Tamworth have had their fair share of luck, but unfortunately at Chorley it was not our night, and the keeper did play well to be fair. I do agree that we are not scoring enough goals, but it was encouraging that the Chorley game was a decent performance and that we were still creating chances. The frustration with losing JJ is that Walsall have admitted that they want him for next season, so why could we not have retained his services until the end of the season? Interesting to see how they bounce back from the defeat?

The Hereford point was a fair result and although not Tamworth's finest performance, it was a hard working team effort. The two hardest games left on the fixture list will probably be the Chorley and Brackley away games, and a draw in either of these games will be a good result. This is a dog eat dog league, where no games are a given as all clubs are capable of beating each other. This fact alone underlines how amazing the current unbeaten run has been for Tamworth. I agree that Chris Wreah will be a welcome return to the frontline to support Dan Creaney going forward. Tamworth need to keep grinding out the results and working hard with a high tempo.
