    Solid! Must have been a weekday though. I once made the mistake of riding across the Golden Gate on a weekend - genuinely one of the most anxiety ridden things I've ever done. Tonnes of people standing around/blocking the path - a huge mix of cyclists either moving at a snails pace or coming up behind you at 16-20mph leaving little/no room for mistakes. Not at all a fun ride. This seems a lot more laid back though - might have to give it a try again on a day that's less "busy"

    Hey man I’m so glad I came across your video. I’m just about to move to San Francisco from London. I want to buy either ArielRider X Class 52V or Ride1Up Revv 1 but im not sure which one is a better performer overall. My main concern is the X Class 52V fast or powerful enough to have real presence in the road and can it deal with SF hills? Also, whats the real top speed and range of this bike? Do you think I’ll be able to get 30 miles out of a full charge between 25 to 30 MPH? I have consistently heard SF is a crime ridden city and your car, bike or whatever else will most likely be broken into or just stolen! How do you effectively keep your bike safe and secured?

    • @E-RiderHub
      @E-RiderHub Před 11 měsíci

      Thanks for commenting. The x class is more than enough for the hills out here. Keep in mind you won't be going 20+mph up the steepest hills but the bike will get there. I have a couple other vids showing what the bike can do uphill. Top speed is around 35 mph and 30 miles is probably the max range you'll get riding at 30 mph throttle only (depending on your weight). Range gets extended a ton when you use pedal assist. Lastly I have a video coming out soon that will show how I lock up the bike. I use a kryptonite lock and have an extra chain lock just in case. I wouldn't leave it locked for more than a few hours as most angle grinders can cut through the best locks

    • @E-RiderHub
      @E-RiderHub Před 11 měsíci

      Also I was debating the rev1 vs the x-class as well. Rev 1 wins slightly in the looks department despite me loving how the x class looks. But the x class has a gear shifter for when I want to actually pedal and has slightly more torque than the rev 1. Let me know what you decide to go with

      The range isn't great on this scooter but it's not terrible. Longest ride I've done was around 14 miles (with some pretty big hill) and I came back with ~30% battery. Keep in mind I ride 25+ mph when I can and that drains battery too. The battery can easily last 16 miles if you ride around 20-25 mph without issue

  • @Nico_91
    @Nico_91 Před 11 měsíci

    This scooter is built really well but I think it's not really meant for long term. After riding mine for over 2,000 miles, I have encountered several issues. The biggest issues have been replacing the battery and dealing with stem wobble. Another guy on CZcams mentioned that his stem broke after about 4,000 miles. A minor issue has been having to replace brake pads/cables and eventually having to replace the tires (I have the solid model). It's a great scooter but it's cheap for a reason.

      I'm going to use GPS for my next speed tests. The actual speed is probably 1-2 miles less than the display shows. I also need to update the wheel diameter from 24 -> 22 in the settings to get a more accurate reading

    • @mazscsu
      @mazscsu Před rokem

      It cannot be 38. The accurate setting is 21 inches which isn’t available on the 500c. You can do 20 inches and get 1 mph short or 22 and get 2 mph over. Ariel rider will NOT go 38 mph on GPS, but 35-36 at the most.

    If you ride smarter you can easily get 75 miles of range i don't think any of these companies expect people to ride at full speed throttle only because thats illegal in alot of place but some people buy these things as cheap motercycles not electric bikes

  • @Trillville43
    @Trillville43 Před rokem

    1. It didnt seem like you were using the high beam for the light. 2. What is the of twisting the throttle if you going to just pedal while going up the hill?

    • @E-RiderHub
      @E-RiderHub Před rokem

      Probably forgot to put the high beams on tbh. And I'm just pedaling to maintain my speed going up hill

  • @Trillville43
    @Trillville43 Před rokem

    The shock is fine it seems nobody want to actually adjust the thing. You can adjust it by getting an air shock pump or by rotating the two collars.

    Is it street legal here in california?

    • @E-RiderHub
      @E-RiderHub Před rokem

      Out of the box it's street legal. There's a setting you change to enable top speed, but as long as you go 20 mph max in bike lanes you won't be bothered. The bike also has a class 2 sticker in case you get pulled over. Police haven't bothered me yet

  • @BONGE33
    @BONGE33 Před rokem

    Im curious what the top speed really is...all my ebike displays are on avg 3 mph off. The ariel kepler has same specs and i believe on gps it was 34

    • @E-RiderHub
      @E-RiderHub Před rokem

      My latest video has a better top speed run, but I'll start using a GPS app for the true speed soon. Go check it out!

    • @En4cer2K9
      @En4cer2K9 Před rokem

      If you get a phone mount, your GPS app can tell you. OR, you can go into the advanced settings and change the wheel size to 22, which will pretty much match what the GPS says.

    • @BONGE33
      @BONGE33 Před rokem

      @En4cer2K9 you can just keep your phone in your pocket...yes I do know how to get gps info. I do not have this bike, hence why I was wondering what the real top speed is

    Once you upgrade, better get that thing registered. They’re starting to crack down, and it won’t be long if you’re cruising at that speed on the middle of the road. And we both share that attractive dark skin lol. It’s why I may get the battery but not the motor upgrade on mine. I want to keep it bike legal.
