    It’s sad you never see them out in the field, you only see them inside in an arena or stall. So sad for the horses in those stables.

    Thank you for the greater insight, just a peek, but very enjoyable. I really enjoy listening to Lottie. Her whole being is infused with the love of her horses, and it seems the same for them. This, for me, comes a long way against the usual cut and paste whiners who are always first to any dressage video. I loved this. Keep it coming!

    Sorry Lottie, since you went East, and learned Rollkur, I have no respect for you. Abuse should never be a training tool. No matter what--Charlotte Dujardin will _always_ be better than you even if you have more trophies. The FEI is looking away, and you know it, and, worse still, you take advantage of that at the expense of a beautiful creature. Shame on you. Sleep well at night? Probably, because you're brainwashed. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 Charlotte Dujardin isn't a sell out. She really loves her horses and has integrity.

      Honestly, this was driving me crazy to watch the non-stop treats. Then others were banging on their stalls for treats. Otherwise enjoyable but that was really distracting.

    • @tomsoderberg9441
      @tomsoderberg9441 Před 5 měsíci

      Sure, why not tell her how to train a horse. I don't know your credentials. I know hers. She's the best rider in the world, and the horse is the best trained horse in the world.

    • @TheJackeeeo
      @TheJackeeeo Před 5 měsíci

      @tomsoderberg9441 while I understand what you're saying. It doesn't take a gold medal to know that giving horses nonstop treats creates pushy demanding horses on the ground, not necessarily under saddle. I've had horses and worked with them for 35 years. You can see it in the video; the horses are banging at their stalls and nippy, it's rude and undesirable behavior, but some ppl don't mind it. It would drive me crazy to walk past their stalls and have them freaking out for a treat every time kicking their stalls. Many of the stallions they have at Van Holst are large Dutch Warmblood stallions with pedigrees known for being very hot and sensitive. More power to them for training these reactive horses. However, I wouldn't be giving this type of temperament nonstop treats. Personal preference, as I feel it makes them much more pushy on the ground and in hand. Also, just because she has a lot of high achievements doesn't make her the BEST rider in the world. There's a lot of criticism of their riding and the behind the vertical hollow frame they ride in. She does ride beautifully, and I know these horses are a tough bloodline to work with, but many ppl argue their training is not correct dressage. Certainly light years away from my skills as a dressage rider, but I do have a lot of experience with horses and their behavior.

      I worked in one stable in Germany and yes, horses went out for 1 hour on pasture, then back in the stable. In the afternoon, they were ridden/lunged for half an hour or sometimes 1 hour. Otherwise, they were in the stable all day, all night. It wouldn't surprise me if these horses are spending all day in the stable as well...

      Lottie was brilliantly trained by the great Carl Hester. When she was out of juniors, Carl said ‘well, i’ve already got a charlotte and we don’t have space for another adult on our yard’. He then phoned Anne and said ‘i’ve got a brilliant young rider for you’. The rest is history.

  • @darja25

    I hope she realises (until it’s too late) that horses are not everything in life and absolutely cannot replace a family, children etc. Growing old and not having someone who is there to hold your hand and sharing your dreams and stuff is just a waste of life. Olympic medals and glory will eventually fade but what you leave behind in terms of family, children is what makes life worth living.All the best to her.

    • @Cozycountry1
      @Cozycountry1 Před 11 měsíci

      Why was this comment necessary and I bet you wouldn't post it on a male dressage rider's video. It is incredibly rude and uncalled for and whether ANYBODY has children or not isn't for you to judge. Plenty are happy without a child and have lots of other family and friends in their lives. Having a child doesn't mean they will be there and sadly, a great many older people are barely visited by their children. Charlotte is only 27 and wants to achieve more in her dressage career right now which is her choice. The other champion dressage rider Charlotte Dujardin has had her sweet baby girl at 38 this March.
