Ryuk just don't want Light to get caught just yet, he's enjoying the show.
I think OPM is the worst to watch dubbed. Saitama's voice just doesn't deliver the satire of his character nearly as much as the Japanese version does.
Agreed, the sub in OPM also adds to the serious act the characters portray even in goofy situations.

I used to watch this show on repeat all the time growing up. It was one of my very first animes and it never gets dull upon rewatching. I think the show definitely climaxed at L's death, but it still had a satisfying ending. I remember watching the dubbed version one day after school and my dad kicked down my door shouting that "This is a subbed-only household!" before beating me with jumper cables. Definitely a top 5 anime all time, in my opinion.

@@guisd2He had money, enormous amounts of manpower, ability to break the law and access many things that Light couldn’t. There are many other advantages too that outweigh the shinigami (who got in Lights way several times) and Misa (who was honestly more of a liability)

I think Ryuk is just making up an excuse to help Light. Ryuk has to appear neutral, but he really does want Light to keep going as long as possible, because it's more fun that way.

I have recently just realised how amazing Death Note really is. Fantastic plot, fantastic music and fantastic direction. I need to watch this show again at some point.

No clue, I've always just watched whatever was better imo. The death note dub is better, but the Attack on Titan sub is better. If I meet someone who thinks differently. It's OK because that's how they enjoy anime.
@@baconshreds1772 Dragon ball z dub is way better for example because they remade the background music, and the high pitched voice never suited goku in my opinion but I like sub for basically everything else just cuz I want to learn japanese.

Because most dubs sound unnatural and forced. There are some great dubs though, like the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners dub or the Kaguya-sama dub. I'll always watch something in it's original language first, but I'll rewatch it dubbed if it's good enough. From what I've seen of the Death Note dub, it's pretty decent. Though I don't think anyone can top Mamoru Miyano's performance as Light.

It's almost like he explains that he feels like he's being watched and acknowledges that he feels that way despite him not being seen
In the next scene Ryuk explain that it was because the stalker keep staring at Light and since he's standing (or hovering) behind Light, it also made him feel like the stalker is staring at him directly.
@@konrad8541 yeah I get the reason, obviously Raye Penber can't see Ryuk so it wouldn't make sense otherwise. I'm just pointing out Ryuk stalks as he please in the first place. And it's a stupid excuse anyway: he isn't forced to stand behind light, he can be wherever he wants around him, or even far away (I mean, when he dropped the Note he didn't fall with it so he can be wherever the fuck he please). So it's just a blunt excuse to point out Raye is stalking in that moment... it's okay, it's still fun how things turn obv so why bother

After watching your newest video and not seeing this when it was uploaded, my fears have become realized. Somehow I forgot that this is the norm and the single death note clip rewrote my mind into thinking all is well and calm in the bacon shreds world...and then it happened. Elliot gazing into my soul and piercing my third eye gave me such a shock, my newborn started crying and the screams from the clips that followed put me and my infant son into a state of panic and turmoil. This is one of my favorite channels on this massive site.

I was frigthened for my life during this entire video and not for the reason you expect. The entire time i was waiting for elliot hulse to come out of some sort of shadow and jumpscare the shit out of me, leaving my soul separated from my body. When will it happen? Will it be loud?
