Waistband alterations
In this video I am showing how I altered a pair of men's trousers by extending the waistband. After watching a few you tube videos, I decided that this is not too difficult a task.

On the way back home we stopped in Honiton. Have heard about local Art Gallery and decided to visit it's current exhibition. Honiton is a market town famous for its lace and pottery and being regarded as the antiques capital of the south west.

Calstock - a small village in the south east of Cornwall, definitely not to be missed visiting. Impressive Viaduct , high white houses, prominent historic buildings- all should be on your travelling itinerary. We spent just an hour but we're delighted with our discovery of this beautiful place. It's very rough, graffiti, litter, empty shops, huge pot holes, the homeless in doors ways, drunks and druggies everywhere & very noisy especially when the bikers invade the town every weekend, Wednesday and Bank Holiday 🤔... Bring your ear defenders....
Yes, it's now in serious decay and has been let go badly by the council.
I like this collection made of old clothes and some remnants of materials and trims. Mils shows us how to be creative. You don't need much money, just get your old clothes out and think what you can add to make something new and interesting.

How to make it please3
Thanks for your comment. First choose the fabric you like to cover the base and place the fabric from back up to the front of the headband ,using a bit of tacky glue to secure the fabric. This will be your foundation fabric. On a separate piece of fabric design and hand sew your beads, don't glue! This will be your embroidery piece. Embroidery loop could be handy! After all of beads are sewn , place embroidered fabric on top of the headband and stitch all open sides, joining foundation fabric and embroidered piece. If you watch other videos from my playlist "How to" hopefully it might help.

I like this video! So many people just glue them on but than end up with jewels or pearls falling off.
Thank you very much for your comment. Yes, when I make my headbands I just use a drop of glue to secure the ends of fabric. And never use glue to attach beads , only stitch them through the fabric. . It takes time but from my experience and my customers’ feedbacks I know that headbands won’t be easily damaged or beads fall off.

Thank you for your comment.Yes, the plastic can break. But when you wrap it around with a thick ribbon it will be a bit stronger. Other solution is to use metal base.
