Hi! I go by Max Holborn and I am here to provide my honest review on various items that I have purchased. CZcams is such a powerful tool and I created this channel to give back to the community. I learned how to program in linux, grill cauliflower on an open fire and how to properly accomplish a deadlift in crossfit all because of the folks that took the time to use youtube to spread their experience. So on this channel you will most definitely find random stuff in my reviews so hopefully in your searches for various products you come across my review and that you find it useful :)

Question: I understand the new Filofax A5's are glossy leather. Is yours a glossy leather or the more robust, dull leather?
I got an original a5 very recently and it is not glossy. I think maybe some people are adding some kind of glossy overwrap
Hi Max, do you carry your A5 organiser with you, for example even to the store? I've always found it too large an opted for Personal, but you're doing a good job of convincing me otherwise!

the holborn is my absolute favorite also. i have personal in brown but i've been on the hunt for a while now for one in wine. tfs:)
+foundandmade I can't seem to get away from this model Filofax! It is a very polished design. For example, the pockets, there is just enough where it doesn't feel lacking and not so much so where it becomes a treasure hunt because you don't recall. A wine color would look elegant!

+chris wall I appreciate the comment! I was bit intimidated organizing my Filofax the first time and I think that the utility that filofax’s in general have is the ability to mold and update when you see fit. If you find down the road that something just doesn’t seem the way you want it, then you can make changes due to the modular flexibility. That particular setup in the video is going to change very soon because of lifestyle adjustments and Filofax allows you to make those changes quite easily :)

I hear you with trying bags out. That was one adjustment to civilian life I struggled a bit with...replacing all the uniform pockets. You get used to having everything with you. ;-) Very nice bag and journal cover! Just beautiful work!

Dig the dance moves at the end. I've been looking at crossfit (I run and do hardstyle kettlebell and GS style kettlebell training). I use my filofax to track my training so your set up is very informative. Thanks!
Thanks for checking out the video and I am glad you found it informative! The filofax certainly is a powerful tracking tool. Just recently I found a correlation between my weight and "aches and pains". For the longest time, I have been hovering between 179 and 183lb's, but if I stay around 185/187 I discovered that my knees don't hurt as much and that the extra mass seems to be helping with durability when I program with heavier loads. I still do a lot of volume but that means I have to consume more "good" calories and what better item to keep track of all this stuff than a filofax :)

Thanks for watching the vid! The walking dead series is my all time favorite. I only collect the hardbacks but I just recently picked up the anniversary edition of issue #1 at Dragoncon! I am totally hauling all of those books if I can get Kirkman to sign em at some other convention!
I like a lot the black Post it notes, where did you get it? Also I wanted to ask you how you keep inspired to keep working out and keep track of it? I'm a student but also I'm a Zumba Fitness instructor but sometimes I find it really, really hard to keep motivated

As far as motivation goes, I am kind of OCD about some things, I love statistical data and I love competing with myself so putting all those things together makes for recipe I want to always cook up :) I love a challenge and when I program a work out for myself its always a steep cliff that I want to surpass but the best part is the feeling after. It's the gratifying feeling of accomplishment. So that's how I would describe how I stay motivated. Good on ya for Zumba! I have two left feet!
