Funny enough when I trained in boxing I had a friend who told me to aim for what we called the "floating rib" which is the lowest rib in the rib cage (not scientifically proven probably). When I was sparring someone who was new to boxing my trainer kept shouting at me to use my speed and not power. Being technically accurate hitting areas like the solar plexus, temple and the so called "floating rib" I just delivered a quick blow there but on the left side (their right) with a left hook. They went down immediately even though it was a speed punch and not a power shot. I guess I hit them in the liver 😅. Sorry bud.
