Yes, overall very good model most of my comments are personal feelings on it of course. Be careful with the pickups they are easy to catch and bend... As they are quite long.

@@alanbowers6554 Not a problem, really they should probably bend up and behind the wheel, as they are very long easy to catch... I'm still adding details to it in hunt the hole lol 😆 it is a nice model. And I take your point on the roof I raised it back in March last year.. they felt for the benefit of quality over the bulky slider so I understand, in this day of customization was just a little thought.

Yes I was told by someone in the know might as well get it and do it yourself as it's unlikely that it will be available in lined. Unfortunately I had to take the job on for this and the Maunsell kitchen car flic.kr/p/2nnMsc5

As I say I was almost one of them... The price went up... And lining disappeared... I did message Hornby at the time... Their reply they didn't have lining.. my response here's a photo of that non existent lining .. 🙄 Wasn't impressed with the decision.. @@Danthehorse I'm not to sure it was a foam material and likely as you say for sound proofing... As this test track and even the club isn't in existence any more I cannot check.

At the time these were very delayed... And Hornby started to remove the lined options, cost cutting again... When they were announced they were approx £40 but increased.. it was also in a time where lighting wasn't really a thing... For rtr. TBF it would have been incredibly difficult to illuminate the lights on the tables... Probably would of ended up at £80

The coopercraft kits I know some have been sold on to other companies, Phoenix and Cambrian so they may have been changed. Best to send photos of the couplings and the area around them... Yes Kernow are the manufacturers, reason it was 10 years was due to Dave Jones disappearing and I imagine some communication from the factory... So Kernow have done this outright. They own all of their toolings despite being done by efe.

With an NEM pocket the item is more sellable when it comes to moving it on. As NEM is the standard in the UK and not everyone runs Kadees so the public are open to use whatever coupling they would like.

I'm sure one can add some if they wish too. However availablity of suitable figures might be an issue.

It was designed but never built the wooden model is in the NRM. Could have been a merchant or light Pacific.

Hi Adi, not bad thank you? I've not seen a problem on second radius so can't comment on that or Hornby's as I don't have one to inspect, however I can see from other reviewers that the construction an hiding of joints was better. Each as you say have good and bad.. Rapido I've always sort of believed to be a higher standard but I have to be honest I dont see them pushing and reaching for a higher standard, this goes from paint finishes used to assembly to accessories... I'm sure some will agree and some disagree it would be boring if everyone agreed with me. I am worried regarding the brass finish as its a prominent feature going forward on other models like the O1, or the Metropolitan E, and in some regard the stirling single.. Would be nice if they pushed the boundies otherwise they will be left behind. Merry Christmas and all the best for the new year.

It was retired and dismantled in 2018 mainly due to a house move. Unfortunately there just isn't the room to rebuild or the budget.

That design obviously was tweaked and changed as there's a Bulleid Merchant Navy 4-8-2 that I've built and also a drawing of a 2-8-2 which I have parts for using a P2 as a base.
