Zwangendaba led the Ngoni people through Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, Tanzania & Malawi
King Zwangendaba, the son of Hlatshwayo kaMagangatha, fled from Shaka Zulu during the destructive Mfecane wars and led the Ngoni people through Eswatini, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, Tanzania & Malawi. Zwangendaba and his followers embarked on an arduous journey that spanned thousands of kilometers and several decades.
Their influence left an indelible mark on the histories and societies of present-day Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, and other neighbouring areas:
- Some are known as Watuwa, and some, in Kenya, are called Abaluya.
- Others spread into the present-day Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda, and bear surnames like Shonga and Chere (for Jele).
- Others are in Zambia under King Mpezeni.
- Others who were under Mbelwa's Jere (for Jele) are in the Mzimba district of Malawi.
- The group under Zulu Gama, journeyed on from Mzimba to the Ruvuma Region of Tanzania and has its headquarters at Songea.

Wrong Sheba. The right Sheba is from the land of Ophir, from Shem. Far off land at the end of the earth.
This powerful story of resistance against colonialism is overshaddowed by the Zulu wars. But i appreciate you telling this stroy.
So why are you disrespecting us iam a proud shangaan from mpumalanga born in this land iam mabutho ka ngobeza but amazulu the tribe that has the same blood as mine call me I shangane ma libuyele e Maputo when my roots are at ngoje which is Ladysmith now

The Mthethwa ppl are so not given the respect they deserve. The Zulu ppl owe the Mthethwa ppl so much...
what great content, this is really fascinating. Just sad to see what has become of the ppl of Swaziland today, the rife poverty, the high rate of youth leaving the country is really sad

Why do they use Masai people's images? and the pronunciation of names is atrocious. White people keep doing this to us.

Proudly Zambian and am bemba by tribe and we overcome the Ngoni people, by that we made peace with them by marring there sisters and we give them our sisters as a sign of peace. For this reason they became our family ICHIMBUYA / ABAFYALA

Bantus are the true Israelites
I am in a journey of finding out the truth, regarding and who or what the Africans people special my clan (Xhosa&Zulu) worshipped or believed in , before the colonialist arrived with their bible. I mean I have tried being a Christian something just does not sit well with. My problem with belief or religion is that it actual limits me or enslave me, gives birth to fear and doubt.
Soshangana also defeated Shaka at Bilene battle.
I believe Xhosa people shot themselves in the foot by rejecting Ntsikana's prophecies, because unlike Nongqawuse and Nxele he was a true prophet who was sent by the One true living God, Hallelujah
Madam quite e...he 😂😂😂hw was sent from heaven my foot
My mum l am proud to be a daughter of the chief
❤ .
She said kingdom of Askum which is now Ethiopia well that's a lie Ethiopia was never called Askum Askum is a town outside of Ethiopia was never change just like Egypt is still Egypt since 20 bc and really the Continent of Africa is not supposed to be named that it is really the Ethiopian continent and Atlantic Ocean is name change it's really supposed to be called Ethiopian ocean
Queen she is arab yamani not Ethiopian She ruled Ethiopia but she is yamani Sheba kingdom exist in yeman
FYI, Egypt was called Kham, or Black Land, in antiquity; the word chemistry comes from it, as the priests knew & used it well there. Africa had a lot more tribes & states besides Ethiopians, so don't claim all of it!
Love you
At 4:15; the narrator says Soshangaan was the founder of Gazankulu Empire. Gazankulu is something else, it was was formed in 1969. Soshangaan was the founder of Gaza (Gasa) Empire founded between 1822 - 1838s. 😃
*King Jongumsobomvu Maqoma
Can you plz make a Video about Amahlubi Nation
Mpezeni was the true heir, since zwangendaba'so great royal wife loziwawa was barren and soseya as loziwawa's sister had the privilege of bearing the heir as it is tradition of the ngoni people
But he took that away after the sisters were accused of witchcraft . He promoted Mnene as indlunkulu after destroying Loziwawa’s village and called for execution of sisters. Soseya was not executed as she was found pregnant. Later on King Zwangendaba was happy to know he had a Son from one of the sisters. I think this is where things got complicated.
Dr JJ Klaas has history book, based on primary and secondary sources. The cattle died of lung desease. The Nongqause story is rubbish
The Weatern narrative that she was a fake prophet or Christian is false. Her prophecy was true, it didn’t come true because some villagers didn’t want to listen & do as instructed by the ancestors. Killing their cattle was so the British wouldn’t be able to sustain themselves when they invaded, as the Xhosa’s had great wealth. Ancestors would provide wealth again to the Xhosa’s after the British weren’t successful on their quest. But Nonqawuse’s message was misinterpreted & some didn’t want to give up their wealth.
Symbol of strength? XD The French mopped the floor with these bitches. The French!
Hi im a student working on a project about the history of the the yoruba tribe. Would you mind if i used your video as part of my ptoject. Thank you . TH e project is for educational purposes only . I would appreciate it
This history is incomplete ,he did a whole lot more ,ruled mhlahlandlela for over 14years which was in present day joburg, tribute was paid to him,he beat the boers so bad there was a peace treaty signed ,he absorbed the Basotho, bataung,Southern Ndebele(ndzundza ,Sibindi )Bahurutse, bapedi ,Barolong n even Bathwa.
A biopic, of a series of episodes, is now being made produced by a South African television network. Creating this channel was a boss move.
You’ve just made my day, thank you 😊
You require someone who is good in coding. Do not stop spreading media content focusing on history. I am taking noted.@@AfricaEnchanted
The Zulus are in almost every clans history in Southern Africa😂 these mf are legendary.
Except the Xhosa. Asinagazi lenu thina. When shaka ascended the throne we were 9 years into the First Frontier War (circ 1779). The Zulus are much younger than even the swazis. Read history with understanding. That's why the Zulus are dismissed as "brainless" by certain ethnic groups.
