I was there in 2017 before David crashed the Northrop Flying flying wing and lost his life. I got to see it up close and touch it. What a loss of life and history. It's a Great place to visit and eat at Flo's Diner nearby.

Oh, and the fried Flounder......with both eyes looking at me. 😂.

I couldn't believe this sat for so long decaying. I'm glad I had the forethought to stop and make this video. Thanks for your memories.

I first went to BDA in 1980 and it was closed then. I snapped this picture and was always saddened to ride by it as it fell in disrepair. The Chinese Bank SBC occupies the land now. How ironic.

Thanks Mark for your memories. When it closed decades ago I would go by waiting to see a rebirth but it wasn't to be.

Perry - You have to remember that Capitol was mostly run by the Cunningham Family until they left and it got new Management running eighth mile and IHRA rules. The Cunningham Family did NOTHING to make the track safe and yes, people were killed and cars destroyed because of their incompetent policies. There was a dip in the right lane just past the 60 foot transition and I was there on a Saturday when some 7 second cars where there. A car got to the right of the groove and ended up getting destroyed over to the left guard rail. Left upside down and Driver was DEAD. So what did the Track Management do, put an IV in him so the Spectators would not know he died. And on a separate occasion there was a Pro Mod called Black Ice which got loose in the left lane and rolled over once and caught fire. Driver was fine but car was burning when Jimmy Forcade rushed to the burning car with their Rescue Truck which had NO WATER in the fire tank. After using two or three portable extinguishers with NO RESULTS, the expensive car sat burning until the local Fire Department arrived to put it out. Video is on CZcams. Just search : Black Ice Capitol. When you were there, Jimmy Bradshaw was the Track Manager and he did much better BUT, Capitol was and always be the Local Track that it is now. I raced my Scooter there from 2004 - when the Cunninghams left because they had a Motorcycle Class and they allowed it to be fun. Now it's an Out of Control venue with NO Motorcycle or Street Class. Just a bunch of No Prep Asian cars and spoiled youngsters driving them. -Scooterman

I made this video and always stayed with her and Speedy. I thought of her as almost a second Mom and when she considered selling Fordham Hall around the mid-80s I was ready to Buy it and move there permanently. @@user-on7lg9og8s I remember when SHE burned Grant in the face with a Cigarette in Ocean City then just before he Passed Away SHE kept luring him to her "Family" from his then WIFE and two Children. Like her Mom Sue, Trash IS still Trash no matter what you call it. Grant did tell me who gave him what. Threaten me Publicly if you wish.

@@dagoneit426271 he was visiting alllll his ex’s before he passed. Not just her. It’s sad. He was very much loved. His addiction got the best of him. And nobody could have gotten him into it except himself, and nobody could’ve got him out of it, except for himself.

I really miss Trimminghams. Spent many a trip there and enjoyed the eatery up on their top floor. Great memories.
