Evan Moore 2017 Highlights
2017.... Man what an insane year you were. You gave me my most significant accomplishments, the most fun times of my life, best new friends a person can have, but you also broke me down. You threw some of the hardest times at me, pushed my emotional levels to a place they had never been, and ultimately made me a better person. There will never be a year like you again. One I will genuinely hold in my heart forever! Big thanks to all my amazing friends and sponsors but I want to personally thank Johnny Chase, Carson Lindsay, Alec Voorhees, and Jordy Searle for being the best friends a guy can have. Also big shout out to Edward P Muggridge for being one of the most quality humans on earth and for using your editing magic to put this together!

What an incredible experience it was paddling this beast of a river. Nestled between the Himalaya and Karakoram mountains, the Indus blew away my already extremely high expectations. 140km's of full on relentless whitewater and by far the stoutest river I have ever paddled. Now the search begins to find the next river of this caliber. Might be hard to top.

I very much like your theme of style and grace. My days on the edge were long ago. I still go paddling though, and I will always pursue style and grace. It is an end unto itself, and it keeps us all out there for a lifetime. Very nice video.
I have been camping and fishing on The Kern for over forty years. It’s sad to see the river low like last summer. The fishing is bad when the water is so low. I’m hopeful we get rain and lots of snow. I love The Kern. …..Great video. 👍

Great film, some scary holes, can see why there is a huge sign before the start of teh gorge warning that its expert paddlers only.
so all ive seen on the cataracts in videos is at super high water, do people run it at moderate levels?
Yes! An amazing section all the way down to about 900cfs.

@@evanmoore4305 Yea man, your runs are insane in that edit. Quick question from an intermediate kayaker's perspective whose trying to step up to the next notch of solid class IV boater, biggest runs so far Ocoee and New River Gorge, if you were to buy a 9ft creek boat which would you get and why? The options around me are Nirvana, Phantom, Alpha 90, & 9R. I'm leaning towards the Nirvana because of my experience in my Zen 2 and Traverse, but just been asking around trying take in better paddlers feedback.
@@1stVARifleman I really think the Phantom, 9r, and Nirvana. They are all good boats. I paddled the Nirvana for a few seasons and always liked it. I am now paddling for Waka because the OG is by far the best boat on the market for my style of kayaking. I would say try to demo all the boats you can and see which one you like the most. I know this is an incomplete answer but you will figure out which one is best for you.
