It’s essentially micro-dosed ECT. I’ve been depressed pretty much since my adolescence. Thanks to a few antidepressants, in particular Bupropion, it has it is not as bad and most of my sadness stems from situational stress. I don’t believe there’s such a thing as “super-happiness “; we’re not meant to experience it in this lifetime. Just my take. I’d pass on this; besides, the cost is PROHIBITIVE!!!😱😱😱😱😱$$$$$$$

Because there are positive and negative things are spread in social media by patients but real truth or answer can give only expertise of specific area. Here is question for you. I am facing tinnitus issue like ringing sound for both the ear last 4 years. ENT doctor said i have mild hearing loss like 28 db he suggested hearing aid with masker.I have visited the clinic of Nuromodulation for the solution of my problem. Doctor suggested 20 sessions of rTMS with Low frequency for tinnitus left side near upper level of ear(Primary Auditory Cortex) and treatment for OCD for problem of forgetting some time lock the door or not thinking for reconfirmation wheter i have did this job or not ( forgetness the activities) for that high frequency in front area of the brain. There are two sessions in day the gap between two session is 40 minutes. I have completed 6 sessions days (6x2 sessions) with medication of Nexito 10 mg. But didn't get any improvement till now rather then some time I feel trimoring of body. Should i continue the session or stop ? Is my tinnitus and OCD will problem solved? What is minimum session i can take for see the result at least 1 % of improvement. Is it any long time side effect or any brain injury or memory loss or triommering? Let's assume If treatment is succesfully resolve the problem Does I need to continue after certain gap like down the 1-2 years later? Please answer my queries that would be really great for me and may be other patients who has same set of questions. Once again thank a lot for reading this much lengthy query. Another useless "treatment". Not even a good placebo.

I had tms treatment 5 days a week for 6 weeks. The dips are a beast. Its awful. But I don’t cry everyday anymore. So I guess its helping slowly. But the dips continue the past 3 weeks, and its awful.

Is it so that each machine has different strength capacity (measured as %)? My take was that all devices use the same range so that 50% on one device is the same as 50% on another. Is this correct?

My concern is the Xanax I am on. I was up to 1 mg a day and my psychiatrist wants me to decrease it to .5mg. However, with my recent divorce and my being almost bankrupt, plus work stress I have found my benzo use went up !! I do not know what to do !!

Personally i think that it would be a waste of money to use ssri while doing tms. The benefit that you get from tms might be nullified by the horrible withdrawal symptoms that one most likely will get, when one quit the ssri. Even if you tapper slowly, its very likely one will feel very bad. I tappered slowly before tms, and even so the withdrawal symptoms influenced negatively on the results from tms. SSRI:s are potent drugs, with many posible side effect. I would not recommend it to anyone except for people with severe ocd or anxiety. Even in that cases i would recommend, thinking twice before taking SSRI. TMS is a much better alternative. To bad it has a high cost

I went for 9 sessions before we figured out that I have bipolar. It seems to have triggered me into rapid cycling.

how long pulse duration? how many pulses in that duration? What is the waiting time between trains?

From my own personal experience, after 5 sessions, I tend to think less of taking my medication. Eventually I do because I know they will help my symptoms. Usually come noon I end up taking them. But it is interesting.

If someone has no problem with money, is it better to start with TMS? As it has limited side effects?

Hi Dr. Khaled Bowarshi, I understand that SAINT total 90,000 iTBS 50Hz pulses, that is 5 times of the 90, 000 rTMS 10Hz pulses of conventional TMS (30 sessions x 3000) treatment course. SAINT has far more pulses, 5 times as much, far more dosages than the conventional TMS. That is not fair comparison. fMRI is not that important, isn't it? the current FDA approved iTBS protocol is 600 iTBS pulses per session. That means that whole course of 30 sessions of iTBS protocol is only 18,000 iTBS, i.e. again only 1/5 of SAINT dosage. Most FDA approved TMS is about 50% response rate, (50% improvement of depression score). SAINT claims 70-80%. We must understand they are hugely different in dosage in terms of number of pulses. This is not a fair comparison. I wonder if FDA also could approve total 90,000 iTBS TMS treatment course, will that be a lot higher efficacy. Do you strongly recommend that to FDA or TMS manufacturerers? SAINT appeared back in April 2020. Already over 3 years, why isn't there any industry wide increasing to 90,000 iTBS pulses? and why isn't there accelerated TMS highly recommended by your TMS physicians?

This report makes intuitive sense, if the placebo effect can make you think you're getting better, it could just as easily make you feel you're worsening.

Iam using antidepressants from 2yrs i have seen changes only 40% still iam suffering with thoughts symptoms i can't concentrate on studies while concentarating iam getting breathing problem and repetitive thoughts..iam decide to stop medicine there is no use for me

What difference have you noticed in practice between 10hz rTMS vs 50hz iTBS? I understand the efficacy is supposed to be similar with iTBS but in practice have you noticed any differences? Does 10hz rTMS cause less anxiety for some patients?
