Where did the name AeroNautical come from and why is the channel called Flight Level Zero? I combined two passions. Aviation and Sailing and here is an example.

Ken and Felicia, from Stolen Idol (www.stolenidol.com) fame, Join Karmen and I for a weekend trip to meet Keeldragger in Avalon. After dropping them off in LA we head back to Two Harbors and Karmen finally spotted whales on our way back to Catalina Island.

I’m deciding between LiTime and Redodo. Did you consider Redodo before purchasing LiTime? (LiTine has 5 yr warranty and Redodo has 10 yrs). Thx again for your time!
I did. Redodo has good reviews. At the time Litime had a sale going on that I couldn’t pass up. 😜
Loved the video! I can relate. I am also a pilot and love flying as well as sailing (which is all I do now)! It’s a natural transition from horizontal wings to vertical wings!

For the fuses you used one 5 and 2 1,s or all 5’s ?
I went with what Clark suggested and used a 5a for the contactor. I had difficulty sourcing 1a fuses so went with two 2a fuses for the others.

Thank you for sharing Chris! Great detail that is helping me plan out my upcoming install in our RV A few parts questions for you … could you share the fuses holders model you used? And also the wire 4 strand ? And then the wire you used for the sensor ? and lastly is that rubber under the contractor ? where did you source that ? :) thank you in advance
These are the fuse holders I used. Sure did and it works great. It's a bit different than the traditional step down convertor, which was my other option but I like the way this handles the charge better than a simple step-down.

I've been looking into the Vesper system myself, looks great! Do you find that the wireless handset has a big enough screen to be "usable" in accurately identifying other AIS positions?
You can easily scroll through the targets. It shows acurate trend lines so if you find one thats a threat, you can click and get the data on the target including CPA and then select "avoid". VERY useful in my opinion.

Probably the best boating advice ever: buy what YOU like! I went with a trimaran (for safer ocean keeping and better upwind performance) whilst all my buddies went with a catamaran. To each his own. Love what I went with and wouldn’t have it any other way.
