what size hook should i use for dk weight yarn and will that be strong enough?

Start with a slipknot and chain 4 Slip stitch in the first chain (to make a hole) Chain 2 Make a double crochet in the middle of ring Chain 1 Make another double crochet in the same ring Chain 2 Turn your work Make a double crochet in the First hole Chain 1 Make another double crochet in the same space Chain 1 Make a double crochet in the second hole Chain 1 Make another double crochet into the same space Chain 2 Turn your work Make a double crochet in the first hole Chain 1 Make another double crochet in the same space Chain 1 In the next hole, make a double crochet and chain 1 Do the same in the next hole In the last hole, double crochet and chain 1 Than double crochet again in the same space Repeat this every row. Chain 2 and then your work. In the First hole, make 2 double crochets in the same space. (Don’t forget to chain 1 after every DC) In the following holes you only double crochet once (and chain 1 after every double crochet) In the last hole you do the same as you did in the First hole. So in the first and the last hole from the row you make 2 double crochets and in the other holes 1 double crochet.
