My work with Johnson& Johnson put me in front of surgeons across the entire region, uncovering their unmet needs so I could direct Global Innovation on their behalf. Even as I was a director of front end innovation Japan, I still approached them as an American engineer, allow them to open up and share things they wouldn't have shared with Japanese sales reps or marketing. Living across context is wild and a gift!
