I was always told not to solder airbag wires because each connection adds 1 ohm of resistance which can alter the airbag's voltage.

Do you havevthe connector part number?

If you were rebuilding it, you're lucky the dash airbag didn't blow out.

If you airbag is fine, what should you do to prevent it from deploying. Changing my steering wheel I have the puller and such tools needed. But I don’t want the bag to deploy.

The trick is to push in really hard and pry a little bit up don't pry up too hard or it will break. Don't use a pry tool use a flat head screwdriver
